“While this may seem fun to you, it’s not fun for me.” You couldn’t help but to gruntle at the younger man, ignoring his laughter at your words as he proceeded to run away from you, forcing you to speed up or be left behind. You groaned at the burn in your legs as you picked up speed, camera raised as you tried to keep him in focus.
For this unfortunate Run BTS episode, you had been stuck, you mean, gladly assigned to the rather energetic and athletic maknae. Your group of creators had decided to “surprise” the boys with another zombie prank episode, this time telling them you were taking them to an aquarium. However, they weren’t expecting a zombie to jump out of one of the tanks and try to scare them. It worked, to say the least.
However, you were now wishing you were not doing a zombie tag game. For the sake of your lungs and your legs.
When you finally make it to him, stopped by the starfish exhibit, you can’t help but lean against the wall to catch your breath, trying your hardest to keep the camera steady as he laughs.
“Noona, maybe we need to get you into the gym, build up some stamina!” He smiles widely at you, teasing you as he watches you struggle to get a deep breath in.
“Ha ha ha. Funny. And you know you’re not supposed to acknowledge me while were filming. Now I’m gonna have to edit that out.” You mutter the last bit to yourself, knowing the rules for the cameramen. No talking to them and they aren’t allowed to talk to you or acknowledge you in any way.
The boys always seemed to ignore that rule when it came to you, though.
“Jungkookie, are you being mean to your noona again?” You hear the teasing tone coming from Hoseok as he also comes to your hiding spot, chest moving fast as he also tries to regulate his breathing. You narrow your eyes, making another mental note of editing you would be forced to do later.
You share a tired look with your coworker, Minji, who had been assigned to Hoseok.
You were the same age as Hoseok and Namjoon, meaning you were older than the maknae line, but you were also a couple of months older than Namjoon, meaning you always teased him and called him “little brother”, to which he would step up to you and look straight over your head, asking if anyone had heard anything.
Your shared age also meant you were more comfortable with the two, and likewise them with you.
“No, I was just telling her she needs to build up her stamina.” Jungkook gave his hyung a very innocent look before he ran off again, leaving you scrambling after him as he cackles his way through the doors to the Coral Reef exhibit.
You follow his loud laughter as he runs into a group of zombies, the laughter turning into a screech as he jumps to narrowly avoid the one reaching for him. Thankfully for you, the zombie actors know not to involve the crew, so you were safe. At least from the zombies.
Before you knew it, Jungkook had turned around and started running to you, barely making it past you before running back through the Coral Reef door into the exhibit you had just come from, making you stumble a bit as you tried to turn around and follow him.
Next time, you’re using your soulmate privileges to get Yoongi, you swear to yourself, cursing under your breath as you yet again try to catch up with the very fast maknae.
Thankfully, he was just waiting on the other side of the door, hiding behind a pillar. You can’t help but sigh in relief that he didn’t leave you behind, a very large smile being your greeting as he sees you come through.
“I would never leave you behind, Noona. If I did, Hyung would surely kill me.” He states as he starts walking forward back through the exhibit, slowly peeking around corners to see if it was safe to keep moving.
“Oh, yeah, not because I’m your favorite Noona or anything.” You tease back, foregoing the rules as you fall for the bait from the cheeky maknae. His response was only a grin before turning back to the closed door now in front of you two.
He goes to open it only for the doors to open in your direction, someone stumbling through only to knock into you and cause you both to tumble to the ground. You knew who it was before you could even hit the ground, the tingles up your spine being the only indication you needed.
“Hello, love.” You open your eyes to see the sparkle in Yoongi’s eyes as he looks down at you, his hand behind your head protecting it from hitting the ground.
“Hey, get off my Noona!” Jungkook and Yoongi’s cameraman, Minhyuk, help the both of you off the ground before Jungkook pulls you partially behind him, arm around your shoulder as he holds you to him.
“She’s mine.” Jungkook sticks his tongue out at your soulmate, receiving a raised brow in return.
“I wonder whose initials she has on her wrist then, hm?” Yoongi looked at his writing on your wrist, telling the younger man what everyone already knew as he raised an eyebrow playfully at his younger brother.
Jungkook just scoffs, “Yeah but she’s been assigned my buddy for the night. So, you can’t have her.” Taking the teasing even further, he places a kiss on your cheek before then pulling you forward.
“Say by to Yoongi hyung, Noona!” You can’t help but to let out your own laugh at the expression on your soulmates face, disbelief written across his features as you repeat Jungkook’s words before following the bouncing man through the door.
The next hour was spent hiding and running from zombies and watching as Jungkook tried to make an alliance with Jin before being ultimately betrayed as Jin had already made an alliance with Yoongi.
When all was said and done, and Taehyung ended up winning as he was never caught by the zombies, you all made your way back to the HYBE building to grab your things.
You had grabbed your backpack and made your way to the elevator with Minji when the elevator opened and you saw Yoongi, Jimin and Jungkook, the latter pouting as you entered the elevator to go home.
“Noona, you’re still my buddy right, the night isn’t over yet and Hyungs are being mean to me.” The pout maknae leaned his chin on your head as you stood in front of him, Yoongi moving to stand right next to so he could hold your hand.
“Sorry, Kookie, but I would love nothing more than to go home and cuddle with my soulmate in the warmth of our bed. My legs hurt.” You whined a little at the end, earning a quiet gasp of betrayal from him and a small snicker from Jimin as Yoongi pulled you into him and away from Jungkook.
“Noona, first Jin hyung and now you. Does no one love me?” Jungkook cried dramatically, reminding you somewhat of Sid the Sloth from the Ice Age movies.
“Jungkook, I love you, but I also love my bed.” You reassure him as the elevator doors open to reveal the barely lit lobby as the building was closed to everyone but crew and artists.
“Yeah, your definitely hyung’s soulmate.” Jimin retorted playfully, moving to poke your cheek before passing you to go to his own car.
“Yup, my perfect, beautiful soulmate.” Yoongi pressed a sweet kiss to your lips as you heard gagging from Jungkook in front of you now as he made his own way out of the building.
“Okay, let’s go home my sleepy soulmate.” You coo as you notice how tired Yoongi was before pulling him to where the car is waiting to take you back to your apartment.
Running was not your forte, and neither was breathing apparently as you choke trying to get air into your lungs as you reach the fortunately empty elevator.
You were running late, and you were seconds away from being fired on your third day of work. You had just gotten the job as one of the content creators for a variety show through one of the big four entertainment companies, and today was the first official day at the company.
HYBE was bigger than you imagined, and thus, the reason you were late. You had gotten lost on the first floor and then there were issues with your ID card getting past security. But you manage to reach the 12th floor in record time and use the piece of paper you received the last meeting to find the correct room.
It was slight chaos when you opened the door, unsurprisingly as you now realized who you would be working with for the variety show. Everything was kept top secret until you were approved by HYBE and showed up on the first day, after signing numerous NDA’s of course.
The BTS boys were having fun and running amuck as they waited for the shoot to start. It was supposed to be just a fun shoot, numerous arcade games set up throughout the room and a table set in the middle where some challenges were going to take place later on.
You looked around after taking in the room, trying to set eyes on your director. Eventually you find him talking to your fellow creators, going over the different challenges that would be taking place.
“—After the water bottle challenge, we’re going to move onto the karaoke booth.” You arrive just at the tail end of the run through, but you manage to understand anyways, seeing as you all had a copy of the schedule for the day.
“Where have you been? Never mind, you’re working on the individual camera today.” Your director questions you but doesn’t give you any time to explain yourself before moving on and assigning you your task. You quickly nod your head, before moving to grab one of the video cameras from the table.
You would be in charge of taking individual behind the scenes videos and photos for the social media accounts. You had seen episodes of Run BTS before and knew how much moving you would be doing today.
Again. Running wasn’t your thing.
“What are you doing?” You turn your head to see a slightly older woman in front of you, her hands on her hips as she looks towards the camera in your hands.
“I was assigned individual shots today, Ma’am.” You respond as politely as you can, getting bad feelings from the woman in front of you.
You could almost feel that you would be having problems with her. You tried to be respectful though, not wanting to step on anyone’s toes on your first official day.
The woman just looked you up and down, her nose crinkling a little before she spoke. “Just don’t get in my way. I’ve been doing this longer than you have and don’t need some inexperienced newbie messing up my photos.”
You can only nod before she is walking past you, bumping into your shoulder on her way past.
‘What the heck?’ you think, turning to watch as she steps forward and begins to talk to one of the supervisors who was in the middle of talking to Namjoon. Shaking your head, you move to the edge of the set, close to the basketball arcade shot game.
You had a good view of the other games from here and felt you could maneuver through the set easier from where you were set up. Bringing your camera up to your eyes, you begin taking some practice shots, making sure the lighting was good and the settings on the camera aligned with what you wanted to photograph.
It took you some time, but eventually you were able to begin taking photos of the boys who had come back to mess around with the games after getting changed and before the actual shoot started.
You were so focused on the pictures that you didn’t even notice one of the boys moving up to you.
“Hi! You must be one of the new creators! I’m Taehyung.” The bright eyed man bounced right up to you when he noticed you, hand held in front of you to shake your hand as he introduced himself.
You put your camera down, smiling softly as you brought your hand to meet his, introducing yourself. As you did, you caught his attention on your wrist, where your soulmark resided. The initials of your soulmate were written in short, quick writing, the gray M and Y staring back up at you since the minute you turned sixteen.
Taehyung’s smile only seemed to widen once you introduced yourself, a twinkle in his eyes that wasn’t there before. You could barely blink before the director was calling for the boys to get into place; the shoot was about to begin.
You smile as you watch him bounce away again, his energy levels palpable as you hold your camera up again.
The next hour was spent moving slowly throughout the edge of the set up game room, trying to get as many good shots as you could. You noticed that Taehyung gravitated towards you and seemed to pull Yoongi with him to play the basketball game, Jungkook following behind to try and battle against the basketball player.
You moved closer to get a picture of both boys making a basket and scoring a point when someone stepped on your foot causing pain to radiate up your ankle and shin. A gasp leaves your lips as you look towards your left to see the woman from earlier, a glare set on her dark eyes as she almost pushes you aside.
You end up tripping over the cord to another game and just barely manage to catch yourself on the corner of said game before injuring yourself or ruining the shoot. You were so focused on the pain in your foot you didn’t even notice the burning in your wrist as your soulmark gets darker.
You didn’t notice the three men witnessing the entire thing, nor the dark looks Taehyung was sending to the older woman. A break was luckily called soon enough and you tried to move away back to the far wall but a hand on your arm stops you.
“What was that? I thought I told you not to get in my way?!” The older woman steps in front of you, her hand still gripping tightly to your forearm.
“I’m sorry, Ma’am. It won’t happen again.” You grit out as politely as you can, the pain in your ankle making you want to sit down but you knew you needed to just go along with what she was saying, not wanting any trouble.
“No. Don’t apologize.” You both turn to your right to see Taehyung, Yoongi and Jungkook, all three eyeing the hand gripping onto your forearm. The woman is quick to release you when she realizes what the boys were seeing.
“Oh boys! Don’t worry about this. I’m just giving some advice to the newbie.” The woman was quick to put on the sweet tone as she speaks to them. You just want to roll your eyes.
Pulling your arm back to your chest, rubbing against where you knew her grip was going to leave some bruises. Your sleeve had rolled back down and your forearm was on full display, along with your soulmark.
“Advice? It seemed like you stepped on and pushed someone out of the way. That is not okay nor something we want to see happen between our employees.” Yoongi’s voice was low, each word spoken slowly as if to ensure the woman knew exactly what she had done.
Jungkook moved to you while Taehyung and Yoongi were talking to the woman, his hand holding onto your own, softly and a huge contrast to the woman as he tilts your forearm around to see the spot where the woman held you.
The skin was red and he knew it would bruise. This was unacceptable and he would make sure that the woman would be reprimanded for her actions. As Jungkook continued to look over your arm, his attention was caught by your soulmark, his hyungs initials on the inside of your wrist.
‘No wonder Taehyung kept bringing him to where you were…’ Jungkook mused, a small smile on his lips as the thought of Taehyung trying to bring you two together.
Well, no time like the present.
Taehyung agreed, as his next words caught the attention of everyone.
“You hurt Yoongi’s mate.” Your eyes widened as your head turned quickly to see Yoongi already staring at you, your faces both sharing the expression of shock. Jungkook was still holding your wrist, bringing you the two feet until you were right in front of Yoongi.
You were silent, trying to process everything as Yoongi looked down at your held out wrist, his initials written in his own handwriting. Slowly, he pulled his own sleeve up, showing you his soulmark.
Your initials were written in your own soft script, smooth cursive showing on his inner wrist, the same spot as your own.
You were lost in your own world, oblivious to all of the noise and emotions happened outside the two of you. Yoongi slowly brought his hand to your wrist, his thumb rubbing over the top of your soulmark, gray turning to a dark black as the soulbond snaps into place confirming Taehyung’s suspicions.
“Hello, soulmate.” A gummy smile burns into your retina, a memory you never want to forget as warmth erupts in your soul.

To be honest, you're not exactly sure how you got into this position. You were just supposed to come to the studio to help your boyfriend with his mental block. You were just supposed to come and give him inspiration. That was it.
"C'mon baby girl." You looked at your boyfriend, laying down on the couch in his studio. He was motioning you toward him, his hand waving you in his direction.
"Hi baby. What do you need me for?" You can't help but ask him, not sure what inspiration you can be for him and his music. You didn't feel inspirational and was confused by his text message.
"Come here baby. Come sit." You slowly move forward, now noticing the smirk on Yoongi's lips, knowing he was up to something.
Once you make it close enough, Yoongi pulls you forward, towards his face until you have to catch yourself on the top of the couch. You were know kneeling over his chest and had a good idea of what your boyfriend wanted you to do.
"Yoongi, this is your studio. What if someone comes in?" You try to talk your way out of it, not exactly feeling comfortable knowing anyone with the code could come in.
"Don't worry baby." Yoongi groans out as he rips the bottom of your leggings, your underwear now on display. "I locked the door with my phone when you came in. No one will see my pretty baby while I pleasure her."
You don't even have a chance to say anything else before he rips your underwear as well and pulls you to his mouth.
You squeal at the feeling of his lips on you as he groans at the taste of you finally on his tongue.
Yoongi had been having an off day, really. He had a deadline for the song he was working on, and couldn't come up with anything worthy of having the stamp 'Produced by Suga" on it.
He couldn't help but to think of you, knowing his best songs that are beloved by Army were thought of when he was with you. So, he texted you, already coming up with a way to get the inspiration he needed.
Plus, he loved being with you and watching your face when you come on his tongue is his favorite thing.
"Yoongi" You whine out, moving one of your hands to grip at his hair, pulling it as you writhe on his tongue. He only moans at the feeling of you pulling his hair, moving his tongue up your slit to suck at your clit.
"Please please please" You plead, not even knowing what you were asking for, but Yoongi did. He knew exactly what you wanted and always knew how to caress your body to the tune of his inner song.
He moved back a little, giving you a little reprieve before diving back in, licking a long stipe up your slit before moving back down, pressing his tongue against your cunt, in and out while his nose nudged against your slit. He knew you loved when he did this, the stimulation helping you to orgasm.
He helped you move your hips, riding his lips as he tried to prolong your orgasm, loving the sounds you made. He could practically feel your thighs quaking against the sides of his head.
This- this was the inspiration he needed.
Once the overstimulation kicked in, he pulled you back, your tired body now sitting and falling onto his chest from exhaustion.
"Thank you baby. That was just what I needed." Yoongi sighed out, helping you to actually lay on his chest and pulling the blanket he kept on the couch over you.

---------------------------
You remember feeling so lonely, watching all of the couples in your family get together, dancing under the moonlight as another love song comes on through the speakers. Every wedding you could remember, after you were old enough, you always wondered if you would every find your soulmate, the person you were destined to be with.
Your soulmark showed up when you were twelve; you even remember the exact moment. You were in your advanced world history course, learning about the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the specific impact it had on North Africa when you felt the immense burning on your left forearm, directly under your palm over your main artery.
You remember crying out in pain, a sob breaking past your lips as you fall back into your chair, toppling back and hitting your head on the ground. You remember your classmates trying to help you, but your teacher’s words held everyone back.
“It’s the soul burn initiating.” You remember freezing, despite the burning pain, and moving your hand away from your forearm, only for a line of foreign letters to stare back at you, blacker than the night sky without stars shining down.
The intensity with which you stared at your soulmark was nothing compared to the loneliness you began to feel as more than one line of letters began to appear, the burning intensifying until you promptly fainted from the pain.
Then you woke up in the hospital, hooked up to fluids and receiving a visit from a Soul Specialist who specialized in multiple soul bonds. She was there to comfort you, to give you pamphlets and tell you how they identified your soulmarks to be Korean, that you were likely the youngest, given the intensity of the soul burn you felt when your marks came in.
You were a rarity, having multiple bonds. Three bonds were an uncommon occurrence, but having seven was a one-in-a-million statistic. Your mom was handed a card with her number on it, in case you felt anymore burning in your marks, or if one of them disappeared, which you wouldn’t know the significance of until you were nearly 16.
You remember the looks of disbelief changing to looks of disgust as you grew older. The way some family members would tell you that you didn’t deserve that many people to love you. That you weren’t important enough for it. And you remember the way your mother would defend you despite everything.
And you remember how she was the one to push you to find your soulbonds when you turned eighteen, fresh out of high school from your small little mountain town. It would take you another almost six years before you were able to meet them, the burning in your arm leading you to them; the black, slowly turning, silver soulmarks the closer you were to them in proximity.
You remember your first glance at two of them, in a shopping mall of all places. You didn’t get a glance at their faces, only at the way they also clutched their forearms, panic and alarm shown through their eyes as they looked down at you clutching your own in pain.
It would take another day for you to meet the rest of your soulmates and activate your bond. You couldn’t believe your eyes when you stared up at the faces of BTS, your soulmates, in the middle of their living room after you were taken home from the hospital after fainting at the touch of your first soulmate.
That was over two years ago and nothing could have made you happier than the way they looked at you; so much love and adoration in their eyes. You never would have thought you would meet them, but now you wish you looked for them sooner.
-*-*-
You couldn’t help but to stare down at the invitation again, lost in your memories of the last family wedding you went to with your mother before she passed away. You sat towards the corner of the room, against the wall as you watched the DJ play another love song and asked for all the “lovely soulbonds” in the room to get up and dance.
You were in the middle of the deepest depression you had ever experienced and couldn’t fight the amount of loneliness and despair you felt after coming back from yet another discussion of why your soulmates wouldn’t want you by one of your random great aunts. Your grandma had come and sat with you, held your hands and made you cry all in one sentence.
“Your soul was split into eight because the fates new how much love you had to give.”
That was the first time your view on your soulmates had changed, that you felt worthy of the names imprinted on your skin.
“What are you thinking about, baby?” Jimin’s asked as you felt his arms wrap around your middle, leaning his chin on your shoulder after giving a soft kiss to your neck.
“Just thinking about the last time I went to a wedding.” You whispered, still caught in your memories. Your soulmates new all about your history of depression and didn’t treat you any differently because of it.
In the words of Taehyung, “That just means we are meant to be there for you and give you all the love you deserve.”
And they did, every second of every day.
“Well, this time, you need to make time for seven soul dances, don’t you?” You could practically feel the grin on his lips as he kisses your naked shoulder, his hand messing with the top of your towel.
“Jimin, we don’t have time to mess around right now. Our lovely little soulmate needs to finish getting ready, as do the rest of us. We only have about an hour before we need to leave.” Namjoon makes his way in from the bathroom, catching you and Jimin by the dresser.
“Yes, Sir.” You and Jimin’s voices mesh together, mischievous looks aimed at your older soulmate knowing what the title does to him. The look in his eyes only lets you know just what punishment you were going to receive when you got back to the hotel later.
Once everyone was ready, you made your way downstairs to the reception hall, decorated in light blue and white almost resembling what Cinderella’s wedding would resemble. You held Jin’s hand as you walked up to the small table by the entryway, folded pieces of paper organized on the table with names and table numbers.
Your table was just you and your boys, the eight of you found yourself in the almost front and center, feet away from the long table where the bride, your cousin, and her soulmate would be sitting with their wedding parties.
You knew why. Despite your family’s belief before you found your soulmates, once they found out you were bonded to seven extremely famous and rich men, their views changed. Now you were the favorite cousin, favorite niece. The one they always called when something went wrong and they needed money.
“We could always just kidnap your grandma and go have dinner somewhere nice.” Jungkook leaned over and whispered in your ear, holding your hand so that you didn’t continue to pick at your nail beds. You didn’t even realize they were bleeding until he held them, using one of the napkins from the table to gently wipe the blood away.
The boys, despite only meeting your grandma a couple of times, fell in love with her the moment they met. She had slapped Jimin with her purse when he didn’t pull your chair out for you. Apparently, all the boys needed was to see Jimin get hit before they loved someone.
“Yeah, baby. Just say the words. Or even hit Jimin with your purse.” That earned Yoongi his own slap from the offended man.
As nice as that sounded, dinner with the loves of your life and your beloved grandma, you knew you needed to be here. Even if you may not have wanted to come in the first place. You needed at least one good memory from a wedding that wasn’t your own. You needed to fight your own anxiety and bad memories.
You needed to create new ones.
Jungkook and Hobi both held your hand as the ceremony proceeded, squeezing every so often when your own grip tightened with anxiety. Weddings were a source of anxiety for you as it was the one place where all your depressive thoughts stemmed from. Just having them here, holding your hands and whispering sweet things into your ear was already a huge help to you.
The real anxiety inducing moment was when the ceremony ended and the reception started, giving your family the perfect moment to rain down comment upon comment about your soulbonds.
“You know, we used to think her marks were drawn on.”
“I told her before that she would never meet her soulmates and now look at her!”
“We always used to joke that her soulbond was a prank by the fates. I mean, seven soulmates. That never happens.”
“It’s a good thing her marks were real, or she’d be alone after her mom died.”
That last comment was the last straw for you and your soulmates. Your older cousin, even if only by a couple of months, was always the one who started the jokes about your soulmarks. Even once dousing your arm in alcohol to “reveal the skin underneath”.
You could vaguely hear the DJ announcing a soul dance and then the soft beat of another love song when Yoongi’s cold voice broke through his scarily calm demeanor.
“Don’t ever speak about her mother again. Our soulmate has been through enough without you bringing in her mom as an offhanded comment.” Despite English being his second language, he was surprisingly good at coming up with amazing comebacks and defensive statements.
“Now, if you don’t mind, we’re going to go and dance with our lovely soulmate and shower her with the love and affection her family should have shown her.” Jungkook finished Yoongi’s words, his piercings and tattoo’s coming off incredibly intimidating to your religious cousin.
Taehyung led you onto the dancefloor first, right on the edge where your soulmates could stand next to you both. He cupped your cheeks, holding you close as he wiped away your slow-falling tears.
“None of that. I want your next memory of a wedding to be a beautiful one, filled with the love of your soulmates. I want you to remember our touch, how we held you close and sang into your ear.” Taehyung was passionate in his beliefs, and it was hard to shake his mind when he believed in something, no matter how powerful that belief was. It was one of the reasons you loved him.
You spent the rest of the reception being held and twirled on the edge of the dancefloor, experiencing the love you always dreamed of and wished for in the past. The touch of your soulmates keeping you grounded and reminding you what love was supposed to feel like.

You truly weren’t sure how to do this. You had been alone forever and didn’t know how to adjust to suddenly having someone in your presence, wanting to be in your presence.
You were at the airport, your flight with Seungcheol, he insisted you call him Cheol or another nickname but you weren’t too comfortable with that yet, leaving at almost 5 am this morning. So, you arrived at around 2 am, a driver coming to pick you up, ordered by HYBE.
After packing yesterday, you realized that Seungcheol only had what he was wearing when he was transported, so you took him to the store to try and grab a couple of items for him to last until we got to Korea and he was able to get back home. He pouted almost the entire time, claiming he didn’t need anything, but you just ignored him.
Once at the airport, you had to go through customs and security, which you thought would take longer with Seungcheol not having any of his things. But you were proven wrong when the driver had handed you a soulmate passport, made specifically for those with the soul transport bond that had been transported into a different country. This meant that you had the same privilege and status as your soulmate.
After going through customs, you and Seungcheol were led to a separate lounge, away from other people, besides a security member that had been assigned by Seungcheol’s company to stay with you until you both got to South Korea.
“It’s okay, baby.” Seungcheol whispers into your ear, trying to ease your anxiety as he places his palm on your thigh, causing your leg to stop shaking up and down. You freeze again, so unused to any affection but he doesn’t act like he notices, instead choosing to rub his thumb against your legging covered thigh.
You were anxious about everything right now.
You were trying to ignore the thoughts circling in your head about being unlovable, the television program’s voice just ringing in your head. It was hard to overcome the cemented feeling of being unlovable and an outsider and then all of a sudden that idea being thrown out at the appearance of your soulmate in your bed.
You slowly relax into his touch despite your thoughts, causing a small smile to grow on his lips. He had a feeling your life was tough before he showed up, literally. He wanted to know everything about you, the way you took your coffee, if you were an artist of some type, what your favorite song was; he wanted to know anything you were willing to tell him.
You felt the same, wishing to know who the person behind the screen was. You felt so comfortable with him already, not having the usual tense reaction to touch that you usually experienced. You felt like your body and soul had already accepted your bond, they were just waiting for your mind to join in.
“I’m just nervous, I guess.” You let out a little breathy, wanting to take full advantage of having a bond. You’ve always dreamed of being bonded, and you weren’t gonna let anyone take it away from you. “All of this is so…new.” You threw your hands up, gesturing to everything around you.
Seungcheol turned in his seat to face you, his hand still working small circles into your thigh. He could see how much you lean into his touch; how much you crave that intimate feeling his touch could bring you. He was so happy to have a soulmate, and he was going to do everything in his power to prove to you that you were his and that he was going to treat you like a queen.
But, before he could say anything, give any reassurance to you, his phone began to ring. He moved forward quickly, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead as he put an arm around you and pulled you into his chest to your head rested on his shoulder. Then, pulling his phone out of his pocket, he realized it was a facetime call from Hoshi, but he knew that all of his members were probably going to be on the other end.
With you still in his arms, he answered the facetime. There were so many faces trying to push their way into the screen, whether to see you or to hide others, Seungcheol didn’t know, but it made him grin either way.
You remained frozen as you watched the members of Seventeen, besides your soulmate, fight over the phone. This was just another reality check for your new world, being a part, even if it’s a small part, of the idol scene.
Eventually, they all backed away from the screen as Mingyu balanced the phone on something so they could all be in screen. You look up at Seungcheol to see if this was normal, only to see him smiling at the screen with fondness, before looking back at the phone.
So many questions start at once, everyone having something to say to you and their leader.
“Okay guys. One at a time.” Seungcheol finally manages out between laughter as you tense up at the loud noises coming from them.
“Can she understand Korean?”
“Are you guys at the airport already?”
Those were the two questions you could make out, as they all tried talking at once again. You were frozen, shy at all of the members looking at you. You almost turned your head into Seungcheol’s shoulder, trying to hide your shyness and the blush creeping up your cheeks.
Seungcheol could tell as well, squeezing your shoulder in his grasp before moving his arm to rest at your waist, holding you to his side for comfort before answering.
“She does understand some Korean, but you need to speak slowly for her to understand. She is Seungkwan and Vernon’s age. She is a carat. And we are in one of the private lounges at the airport.” Seungcheol answered the questions he heard, some shouts of excitement from the two ’98 liners being heard in the background as he answers Dino’s question.
“It is very nice to see you, Y/n. We can’t wait to get to know you better when you get here.” Woozi spoke softly but was still heard by you as he waved to you. He spoke slowly enough for you to understand, thankfully. You were still a bit shy, but you knew you needed to be polite and respond to him, plus, you wouldn’t turn away the opportunity to speak to members from one of your favorite groups.
“It is nice to see you all, too. I—uhm, I’m excited to get to know you all as well.” You respond in your best Korean receiving a big smile from all the boys, but the biggest grin from your soulmate who leans down and kisses you on the head, unable to help himself.
The call is cut short from the hired security coming in to tell you both that he was ready to board the plane with you and your luggage. You only had a carry-on and a suitcase as well as your personal backpack that had your purse in it while Seungcheol had borrowed one of your duffel bags for the things you bought him and the stuff he was transported in.
“We are about to board so we got to go, but I’ll text you when we get in the air.” Seungcheol ends the phone call after several thousand goodbyes are said.
Once he puts his phone away, he leans down and grabs the handle for your suitcase while you put your backpack on and grab the handle to your carryon. Once he puts his duffle on his arm, he grabs your hand to hold in his and the both of you follow the security to the first class entrance.
You felt like you were in a trance, having flown only a couple of times and being in economy every time. First Class was so extravagant looking. Everything was clean and you definitely felt out of place as you walked forward, Seungcheol leading you to your seats. As you passed by the other seats, you noticed a small blanket, eye-mask, and earbuds were placed on each seat as well as a water bottle and an empty champagne glass. The seats reclined into a bed and there was even a small side table and television in each seat pod.
When you got to your seats, Seungcheol surprised you by placing your stuff in the overhead compartments and helping you into your seat-pod. You didn’t expect for him to do this, to take care of your things and you before himself.
You had a feeling that your wishes for a soulmate were actually manifested in Seungcheol. Yes, you were a carat and knew he liked to take care of his members, but you weren’t a member and you were used to having to do everything yourself, always being overlooked and forced to be hyper-independent. It was such a nice thing that you almost began to tear up as he made you sit down as he opened your water bottle for you.
“Why are you crying, baby?” He questioned you softly, leaning down to look you in the eye. You didn’t think he would notice, but he did. Which was something you were sure you would need to get used to.
“I’m not used to others taking care of me.” You whisper, answering without thinking, still too in your head over your soulmates caring actions.
Seungcheol can’t help but to get a little angry inside, nodding his head at your words. He swears in his head to anyone listening that you will always be taken care of with him. He loves how open you are being with him though, that you feel safe enough with him to tell him to truth about your feelings.
“I will always take care of you, my soul” He cups your cheeks softly, tilting your head downward so he could place another soft kiss on your temple, resting his lips there for a couple seconds before getting up on his feet and moving to his own seat. He doesn’t miss the blush on your cheeks though, beaming to himself that he can make you so flustered so easily.
-*-*-
You spend the rest of your flight playing twenty questions with your soulmate, Seungcheol having managed to put the divider between your seats down so you could see each other. It was a nice time, truly, just getting to know your soulmate without the pressure of everything you knew was going to happen when you get to South Korea.
Once you touch down, your peaceful atmosphere was unfortunately broken. Before you got off the plane, Seungcheol receives a call from his manager who was waiting outside for you, that it has been leaked what had happened the past couple days and that the airport was swarmed with fans and paparazzi, waiting for you two.
You could see Seungcheol was upset, his jaw tense and his grip tight on your hand as he holds you still. You didn’t know what was going on, only that you had to stay on the plan for a little bit longer while HYBE security and the airport security do their thing.
Seungcheol remained on his phone, talking fast as he tries to ensure your safety while now bringing you into his embrace, holding you like he did in your room the morning before. His chin was resting on the top of your head as your cheek rested against his chest, feeling the vibrations coming through your cheek as he talked to another person on the phone.
You stayed on the plane for an additional twenty minutes before someone Seungcheol recognized came onto the plane and over to you.
“We have a route out and to the car. You can leave your things here. We will grab them.” The large man spoke to Seungcheol, before looking toward you and giving you a small smile with a nod of his head.
“Okay. Come on baby.” Seungcheol looks down at you before pulling away. He grabs your hand again without even thinking about it and begins to lead you out of the plan. He holds you closely to him, your shoulders brushing against each other as you walk out to the plane and are suddenly surrounding by maybe ten large men, formed into a circle around you.
You keep your head down as soon as you see the lights flashing ahead of you. You can feel Seungcheol hold you even closer, cursing under his breath at the amount of people waiting for you both. Once you got into the crowd, despite being surrounded by guards, you were scared. You felt like you dissociated once the flashes started, but you were brought back by a tug on your shirt.
Despite the number of guards near you, someone managed to get their arm through them and latched their hand onto your shirt, tugging you to the side, and in turn, tugging on Seungcheol who had a tight grip on you. It was a split second, but the damage was already done. You could hear screams but you were now moving quickly, Seungcheol beyond angry and more guards came over.
You could feel the tears building in your eyes, falling because you were too scared to wipe them away. You were too scared to move your body in fear of being grabbed again.
You hadn’t even realized you had gotten outside and to the car when Seungcheol had opened the door for you and helped you in first. You saw someone sitting in one of the seats from the corner of your eye, but you kept your head down, flashing lights continuous in your vision until Seungcheol got in and the door was closed behind him.
You were frozen, trying to calm yourself down as Seungcheol moves closer, buckling your seatbelt for you and sitting as close to you as possible.
“I am so sorry, baby. I can’t believe we got leaked!” Seungcheol pushes out the last sentence in anger. He was so mad about the entire situation and was beyond worried for you. He could tell that what happened had scared you; you hadn’t spoken to him since the plane and you were practically shaking like a leaf.
Seungcheol was scared. He couldn’t protect you in that moment and he almost lost you to someone tugging on your shirt. He had just found you and then almost lost you in a second. It would not happen again.
Seungcheol only pulled you closer to him, hoping his presence would be a comfort for you before he turned to the other person in the car.
“So, how did you win the competition to be here?” His voice was tense, understandably, but you could still hear some fondness in his tone as he spoke to the other person. You still hadn’t looked up yet.
“I snuck in while everyone else was freaking out.” Jeonghan teased, hoping to get you to look up at him. He wanted to ease the discomfort and fear he knew you were probably feeling right now. They were used to this. You were not.
Jeonghan’s words had you looking up though, eyes red and puffy from your silent crying breaking both of their hearts. Seungcheol hadn’t even realized you were crying and made himself a mental reminder to do his best to pamper you tonight.
“Have the company found the leak?” Seungcheol asked, his hand squeezing your won tightly still, not having let go since you got into the car. You could hear the anger lacing his voice, his determination to keep you safe only doubling.
“They have. And they’ve been fired. It seems that someone overheard a conversation about your announcement to us. Everyone has been dealt with.” Jeonghan didn’t hold back, knowing how his leader and friend got when something went wrong. No one wanted to get in their leader’s way when something happened to one of their members. He could only imagine how amplified that would be now with you.
“Good.” Seungcheol ended that conversation, quickly moving onto another, more light discussion when he noticed your eyes begin to glaze over. He could tell something was wrong, but he would wait until you were both alone to talk to you about it.
You remained quiet as you listened to Jeonghan regal the tale of what happened when they realized what had happened to Seungcheol and how excited the other members were to meet you. Hoshi and DK already fighting over who would be your best friend while Joshua and Mingyu were trying to figure out what kind of welcome gift to get you.
It seemed like the members were more excited to meet you than you could have imagined.

----------------------------
It took you a million and one tries to get out of bed this morning. You felt like absolute crap and your watch kept going off every few seconds with heartrate alerts, and you were still wiping away the sleep from your eyes.
You knew you had done too much yesterday, but you always seemed to forget that just cleaning your apartment would lead you into a couple-day flare up. You were always telling yourself that it was in your head, gaslighting yourself into thinking you were fine.
But you weren’t.
And now you were dealing with the consequences. On your first day of work.
You had just gotten a job in a café, a small café with not the best pay, but it was still a job that was understanding of your disability. Something that was becoming rarer as you searched for jobs.
The free coffee was a plus.
Pushing yourself off your bed, ignoring the groans you let out from the pain in your back, you started to get ready for the day, alarm having yet to go off thankfully, giving you more time to get ready. You were going to try and take it slow today, knowing you can’t call in on your first day, no matter how bad you know your body wanted you to.
You were barely dressed in your work uniform, a t-shirt the owner gave you with the café logo on it a pair of jeans that you made sure wouldn’t aggravate your skin, when your alarm finally went off. You had about an hour until you had to be at work, which now meant you could make yourself something small for breakfast, or you could walk a slow pace to work that would normally take you twenty minutes.
Your question was soon answered when the thought of food made you want to gag. Deciding you would just pack a small snack to get you through until lunch when the nausea subsided, you moved slowly through you living room to the kitchen, picking up your jacket and bag on the way.
You were out the door within minutes, adjusting your bag on your shoulder as you walk out of your apartment building and onto the sidewalk. Your pace was slow, people passing you on either side but it was the only speed you could go. Even you were a little irritated at your slow speed.
Thirty minutes pass and you could barely see the recognizable light green brick of the café. It was a little whole-in-the-wall café that sold variations of coffee and pastries. You were going to oversee the pastries and desserts, something you thoroughly enjoyed. Baking was always a stress reliever for you, something you pushed yourself to do even when in a flare up.
You were about to pass a corner so you could cross the street when you were knocked into from behind, falling forward and just barely catching yourself with your hands, scraping you palms and getting some pebbles stuck.
“HEY!” Someone from behind you yelled but the person who pushed you kept going before turning down and into a building across the street.
“People.” The man muttered as you stopped in front of you, kneeling down so he was eye level with you. You were still looking down, your hands the focus of your attention as you looked at the small pebbles stuck in your skin.
“Are you okay? Let me help you up?” The man you had yet to look up at moved his hands so he was grasping onto your wrists, careful to not tough your aching palms as he attempted to help you off the ground.
But as soon as his skin touched yours there were literal sparks erupting from where he touched you. Colors of blue, green, purple, and gold sparked between you, making you both gasp in shock.
Soul sparks were a common subject among the Soulmate community, each bond having theories about the colors that spark from the bond at first touch, but despite being a common occurrence, you had yet to ever witness the phenomenon, until now.
Eyes wide as you watched the sparks continue for a couple of long seconds until the ended leaving you looking right at your newfound soulmate, someone who you had been listening to just last night.
Seungcheol couldn’t help but to trace your features with his eyes, trying to memorize the look on your face as you watch the soul sparks with awe. You were more beautiful than he could have ever imagined. Yet, he noticed how tired you looked, the wince of pain as he helped you up off the ground.
He wanted to demand you tell him what happened, why you weren’t lying in bed if you weren’t feeling well but he couldn’t. He was frozen in awe of you and couldn’t help but be in disbelief that he finally found his soulmate.
You, however, were in shock that your soulmate was Scoups, from the group Seventeen. You couldn’t help but to suddenly feel unworthy, like you didn’t deserve to have someone like him as your soulmate. He was perfect in every way, and you were over here barely able to maintain a job for more than a couple months due to your disabilities.
You tried to pull away from him, about to apologize for being his soulmate when he stopped you, gripping your wrist even tighter as he pulled you closer, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you away, past your work and further down until you appeared in front of a very large, white building.
“I just found you, little mate, and I’m never letting you go now.” His voice was deep and rough, yet his expression was soft as he spoke to you. His eyes held so much love in them that you couldn’t remember why you even tried to pull away in the first place.
Seungcheol doesn’t say anything to the people at the front desk, just moving forward with you and into the elevator, pushing the button for the third floor.
“I, uhm, I have work to get to.” Your words have no force behind them, light as you still try to process the last couple minutes.
“You don’t ever have to work another day if you don’t want to.” He reaches up and tilts your head back, his thumb holding gently onto your chin. “You’ll never have to worry about anything ever again, my little soulmate. Not now that I’ve found you.” He stared into your eyes for a couple more seconds until the elevator doors started to open.
He was intense, but you couldn’t help but find it nice at the thought of not having to think. You felt completely safe and trusted him to keep you that way that you didn’t even think about where he was taking you or what he was going to do when you go there.
You’d follow your soulmate anywhere.
He brought you down a hallway and then into the first door on the right. The room was really bright and turned out to be a small doctor’s office. He didn’t even acknowledge the woman in the room who stood up as soon as the door opened, leading you straight to the bed and helping you get onto it.
You couldn’t help but to give the woman a small, sheepish smile as he stared at the scene with a surprised expression as Seungcheol went to one of the drawers and started grabbing items to get the pebbles out of your palms and clean up and bandage your hands.
“Maybe you should let the doctor do it?” You suggest softly to the man currently using tweezers to clean out your palms. He just shook his head at you, not stopping his movements.
“Only I can take care of you.” He stated, almost playfully catching you off guard.
“Oh yeah?” You ask him, kind of liking how possessive his words sounded.
“Yup. Your mine to take care of.” Okay. That does it. There goes your heart. Exploding at the possessive nature of your soulmate. You were done for.
You could feel your phone ringing in your pocket as Seungcheol bandages your hands up under the watchful eye of the doctor. You were surely fired before you even started. You were beyond late and you could tell by the small smirk at every vibration from your phone that your soulmate was kind of happy.
You could tell he found pride in being able to take care of you, something you secretly always wanted. You’ve been so tired of taking care of yourself, of dealing with your disabilities that you wanted nothing more than to be taken care of. And now you’ve found a soulmate who loves to take care of others.
Once he was done taping up your bandage, he picked you up and gently set you down on the floor, your head directly facing his chest making you have to look up at him. You can’t help but blush at the close proximity, something that causes a small smirk to grow on your soulmate’s lips.
“Come, let’s get you something to eat.” He tells you, holding his hand out for you to hold onto.
On the way to wherever he was taking you to eat, he told you how he would have to tell his company about you, that way he can get you access to the building and they can help you move into his apartment. It was a lot, and you kind of thought you were moving fast, but it felt right, so you just nodded up at him.
Everything felt right with him.
You went into the elevator again, to a different floor that you should have paid attention to, and into a very nice and expensive looking café.
“This is the artist café, a place where we can go without anyone else having access to it. We’ll be fine here.” He explained, moving a hand to the small of your back as he led you to the counter and you both picked out drinks and food at his insistence.
He had you sit down at a small table right next to the wall of windows overlooking the city. He even helped you sit down, pulling your chair out for you and putting your straw in your drink lid.
A phone call stopped him from sitting down across from you.
“It’s my manager, baby. Give me a couple minutes.” You nodded at him, completely content with your drink, muffin, and the view. The window had some sun clings, rainbow patterns making the light shine through and into the room beautiful.
The way the light fell through the window of the café was mesmerizing.

---------------------------------
Despite your love for music, sometimes it could be too loud. Your ears ringing and sometimes you swore your brain actually shakes in your skull. The way you listened to music almost every second of the day was a surprise to some people, seeing as you were easily overstimulated and when too many things were happening at once, you used your noise canceling headphones for peace.
You thought that a concert would be an isolated incident; Somewhere where you could only focus on the music and not on anything else. Where you could just feel the music and let your body sway to the rhythm.
Finding out you had a soulmate at a concert was not on your plan for the night.
And looking down at your wrist to see the gold letters building the name of your bias was also not on your plan for the night.
For soulmates, soul bonds only activate when you are in the same room, gold letters representing the soul spell out the name of your soulmate. A gold light also surrounds the people within the bond so you could find your other half easier.
But you knew who your other half was, and you doubted they could see you from the stage.
You were seated near the front of the stage, a front row seat in the first part of the seated section. You had felt beyond lucky to get the seat, knowing how quickly the seats go and how easily the concerts sell out tickets. Now, you wonder if it was fate bringing you here.
You anxiously sat, waiting for some kind of sign that he also sees you. But Hongjoong seemed to look almost everywhere but where you were seated. That was until he glanced at your section during Guerilla and seemed to do an obvious double glance. Everyone around you was screaming, thinking that he was looking at them, but you know differently.
But then he didn’t look your way again.
You couldn’t help but to think, maybe he doesn’t want a soulmate?
Did he see your soul light?
He probably isn’t interested in having a soulmate. Another person to depend on. It’s probably for the best anyways, with your disability anyways. You couldn’t always control your brain or the way your body took in stimuli.
Seeing reason, you tried to just enjoy the rest of the concert, listening to Answer and then Crazy Form, which was one of your favorites. You followed the crowd and moved your light stick along with them. You even got up and danced for as long as you could handle.
When the concert ended, though, you couldn’t help but to wait a couple minutes. You told yourself it was because you couldn’t handle the crowds trying to leave the stadium at the same time, but you knew it was because you hoped that he did want you, even the tiniest bit.
After waiting about ten minutes, you gave up hope and started to grab your things. It was disappointing, but nothing you weren’t used to. Being a burden was unfortunately something you felt a lot, and this was nothing different.
After grabbing your things, you began to make your way down the small walkway that led to the inner hallways of the stadium, out into the main concession area. You pass through the entryway only to bump into a large man in a stadium uniform.
“Are you Ms. Y/n L/n?” The large man was imposing and his voice was deep and intimidating, making you hesitate for a couple of seconds before nodding your head, not wanting any trouble.
“We’ll need you to come with us then.” You heard another voice, and someone pushed past the large and intimidating man to stand in front of you.
This man was shorter, but still nonetheless intimidating. He wore a stern expression and his glasses reminded you of an old professor you had in college who loved to yell and throw things across the classroom when someone was talking during his lecture. It was safe to say you were now shaking in your shoes.
The ma wore no indication of his position with regards to the stadium, and you were thoroughly confused now to what could be going on.
“Is there something wrong, Sirs?” Your voice was weaker than you wanted to push out, showing how uncomfortable you were.
The men just turned around and started walking, not even looking to see if you were following. But you did, entirely scared and uncomfortable and feeling entirely intimidated to do anything but what the men say.
You followed them through a different hallway, one with the words “CREW ONLY” plastered to the front. You now went from being scared to freaked out. Your thoughts were going a hundred miles an hour until you ended up in front of a set of double doors that had the word “ATEEZ” printed on a sheet of paper and taped to the right-side door.
Now, now you were completely frozen.
You swear your heart actually stopped.
“Please.” The short man gestured you forward, knocking on the door for you without giving you a second to move.
Before you could catch your breath, someone opened the door, a casual smile on their lips and a baggy but comfortable looking t-shirt with the new Ateez designs on it. You assumed this was one of the managers as he shook the smaller man’s hand and thanked them for bringing you here.
“Hello, you must be Ms. Y/n?” The man then turned to look at you, his bright eyes centered on you and then your wrist where Hongjoong’s name resided in gold ink.
You just stared at the man, your obvious nerves showcased on your face, still completely frozen as you look up at him.
“Please, don’t be nervous. Hongjoong is actually excited that we were able to find you still here and might actually start freaking out if we leave him in there with Wooyoung and Jongho’s teasing any longer.” The man cracks another warm-hearted smile at you before holding his hand out for you to take, a nice gesture.
“How about we go and introduce you to your soulmate, hm?” The man, who still didn’t introduce himself moved behind you, hand hovering against your back as he opens the door again, the noise from inside becoming completely silent as you slowly moved inside.
You saw Hongjoong first, his eyes catching yours as a large smile grows on his lips, his cheeks pushed wide as he does so. You then catch Wooyoung actually hanging off of the captain, Seonghwa trying and failing to get him off until you appear, both men slowly moving away from their leader.
The soul light slowly dims until its gone when you are now only a couple feet apart. You could feel your body slowly relaxing as you got closer to your soulmate, something you’ve never felt before. Relaxation and peace were always hard to come by when your body always seemed to take in more stimuli that you could handle.
But you felt at ease, now an arm’s length away from the person you were destined for.
“Hello. It’s nice to meet you.” Hongjoong spoke softly as if not wanting to break the moment between you.
“Hi.” You smile a little, wanting to show him that you were okay, that you were okay with everything.
“Why don’t we sit, get to know each other better.” He asked you, motioning to the now vacant couch behind you, big enough for the two of you. You also noticed the sneaky glances that the other Ateez members sent each other.
“Okay.” You smiled at the boys as you passed by them, each of them introducing themselves to you as if you didn’t just attend their concert.
You sat down, and before Hongjoong could pick another place to sit, every single other spot than the one beside you was taken by the boys. Hongjoong just took it in stride, sitting beside you as he dramatically shakes his head and sighs at his members actions. You couldn’t help but to let out a little laugh at their actions, trying to play matchmaker between soulmates.
It was as if they all started speaking at once, the younger members just yelling out questions for you as you sat next to Hongjoong, Seonghwa trying but failing to reign them in, even if it was a half-hearted attempt at doing so.
You didn’t even attempt to answer, seeing as you couldn’t distinguish a single question. Instead, you just took the hand that your soulmate offered you, shyly holding it in your grasp.
“They’re always like this. I promise, they like you already.” Hongjoong leans down and whispers into your ear. You could hear the smile and adoration in his voice, something that made you smile again.
“It’s okay. I can get used to it. I promise, I like them too.” You whisper back, looking up at him and watching as the look of adoration switches from his members to you.
