I think that scene Owen has with Tommy after being short with TK about the Will says a lot. He tells her he has a hard time telling TK things when it comes to his health. In 1x04 he tells TK it's cause he was weak, afraid to see fear in TK's eyes and that would make his cancer, the possibility that he's dying, more real to him. (It's interesting how that changes in Season 2 with his depression arch after that threat is gone.)

I don't think him putting his head against his hands when he sat down at his desk was just over his possible relapse - he was also frustrated with himself for saying those things to TK instead of telling him what was going on. The "grow up, death is unavoidable" speech? While he said that to TK, I think he was also saying it to himself.

Tommy tries to make him feel better about saying it, but from the expression on his face, he still regrets saying it/knows he messed up. As for the hospital scene I think he was annoyed because the hospital told TK before he could - not that TK found out. He knows what he should do, but he still has trouble doing it.

Like father, like son. They don't deal well with the idea of possibly dying. It's one thing to throw themselves into danger to save others (especially when you think you owe the world for living); it's another thing to talk about what could happen when they do so. It's also easier to freak out about dying when you see it coming at you slowly, like cancer does. It's scarier to fade away than go out quickly or without realizing it's happening.

I too hope they continue to do a lot of work with his character next season. He's made progress since 3x16 but he's obviously still got a ways to go - talking to his father, not throwing a punch, and moving forward from 9/11 were just the first steps. I think the writers can get him to where he needs to be.

I agree with everything you’re saying and yeah, I hope they delve into it more too. Like I’ve been saying all season: if they’re going to focus on Owen, at least they could focus on the things that actually make him an interesting, flawed character.

So we’ll see where they go with this, but there is a lot ground to cover. Especially in regard to Owen and TK.

I don't think being able to say goodbye is always the ideal way for a person to go - maybe for the family, but not always them. How many people wish to die suddenly in their sleep? A lot. There's a blessing in not knowing. Ty dying suddenly in that moment, w/fleeting pain, was better to me. He didn't have to say anything. He expressed earlier how much he loved Amy & spent some of his final moments holding Lyndy & watching her join up with her horses - magical moment. He loved watching Amy work.

Speaking of, could you make a gif set of Ty watching Amy work with horses along with the quote of him saying he loves watching her work? I can't remember the full quote/the episode it's from but maybe someone remembers? Gif wise could include her showing him Spartan doing liberty work, her having that horse walk through fire, and of course that final join up scene, etc.? ________________________________

I’ve thought about that too sometimes, how often people hope that there would have been a chance to say goodbye, and I can understand the idea behind that, but it’s like you said, it’s not always ideal, sometimes that can be even worse. How do you even let go, especially if the person dying is young and still in the middle of their life?

It’s a great point about Ty going basically when he’s the happiest - I mean, how many hope for that too, as backwards as that may be. Sure there’s always more to live, but at the same time it wasn’t the worst way to go. He wasn’t fighting with Amy like in season 3, for example, when then plane crash happened. That would have been even worse. 

There’s this saying in Finnish (my mother tongue) that goes “you go with your boots on” and it basically means you die doing something mundane or something you love doing, and I think Ty definitely did that.

Sure, I can make a gif set like that. I think the quote you’re thinking about is when Spartan got hurt, and Ty said he fell for Amy when he saw her work with Spartan. I might need people’s help to come up with scenes of Ty watching Amy work, though! There’s few that come to mind, but any help is always welcomed, just to think a variety to choose from.

I wish I remembered my 1st time watching the Chris episodes. I was around 11 when Chris showed up on the show and I don't remember anything from my 1st watch except general stuff, like crying when he died. I think I saw the later S6 episodes first, so I never got in that "is he or is he not evil" situation. He was obviously good by then. But it's fun to rewatch and see how obvious he was not evil and was just hiding stuff. Drew's expressions, especially around the eyes, helped a lot with that.

Oh man, usually I'm really bad at remembering stuff like this but I'll try to wrack my brain! It's nostalgic to think back on my Charmed beginning.

I was around 11 when I first started watching Charmed, but I think I wasn't watching as it was airing because what we got on TV was probably at least a year behind the US and I don't remember the episodes being aired in order. So I caught a few episodes here and there and recorded some onto VHS. I still have a tape with the Woogy ep and Sin Francisco on it, I used to watch that on repeat every day after school. I've seen them more than any other episodes. But for properly watching, I think I got the s3 DVD box first (maybe because I really liked Sin Francisco) and then borrowed s1 and s2 from a friend. So I started with later episodes too. And when I finally got access to the Internet (we got it pretty late, lived out in the boonies) I ~acquired~ all the DVDs in a different format and burned them onto discs (that I also still have somewhere). I'm pretty sure that was the first time I watched s6 (and the entire show because it was over by that time). I don't remember how old I was, but I know that I really liked Chris and Drew from the start. I used to talk to my friend about him and like a cringey teen called myself Mrs Drew Fuller. So embarrassing lmao. No one ever tell him this.

I think that's as much as I can remember right now. I've been here for like an hour, I think I overclocked my brain lol
