jumping on the bandwagon late but I had fun coloring this open collab “Mustard Fight” from @theskeletongames :D Author of my #1 favorite fanfic and one of my top artists!

I originally did it in traditional UF colors but then saw someone put ‘em in a pink jacket... so I tried pallet swapping to blue and liked the result! so I wanted to share that too haha. The mustard definitely stands out better! Not sure how I feel about the purple shirt tho. 

I pulled most of the original colors from my multiverse sans ukagaka ghost, except I made the jacket brown so shading would show up! And then I kinda half-assed the jacket shading anyway whoops 

either way i loves me some blushing skeletons of all sizes hee hee

Multiverse Sans v1.3.471dev - Dialogue Filter, Pickup Lines and Phone Calls

This is a dev build. Expect some features to be only partially implemented or buggy. 

I’ve been all over the place with development. Setting up the foundations for massive awesome changes, streamlining how I handle the shells and AUs so I can accept ‘em rapid-fire, and trying to squeak in some new features and fun stuff to show while I whittle down on the big stuff. 

This Update (v1.3.471 dev) Includes: 

Conversation Filter toggles implemented (menu needs cleanup, details below)

Additional random Papyrus calls, some are traits-based

Introducing the new Pickup Lines system! (beta, still adding to it) 

Foundation for Relationship System (not really visible, but new variables are there)

All this and more between my cat’s health issues, my brother getting married, practicing with my new tablet, releasing dialogue from the First Papyrus Phone Calls Event as a fic on ao3, starting the MVSans story sidefic, expanding the UDT ghost dev discord community, and setting up a patreon! I’m in the process of making a website/wiki for the Ukagaka Dream Team! It’s being finicky or I’d link to the home page. You can check out @ukagakadreamteam​​ for now though. :)

Pickup Lines

You can exchange terrible pickup lines with Sans now! There are only a few for testing. You’ll just make him blush for the first dozen or so, but he’ll eventually start firin’ em right back atcha!

New Random Papyrus Calls

A few new calls, some original, some classics from the game. 

The call about Sans being a cat is the unlock to the cat ear headband, but they won’t actually activate until next update when the cat ears are officially added. 

Conversation Topic Filters Breakdown 

(please forgive the non-floof cat ears. this post was mostly written before I made them properly floof)

So, the current latest build of MVSans is a dev build, which includes the feature of Filter Conversation Topics. Manually changing them is a feature that is unlocked after completing the Papyrus Phone Call events concluding with Interval[2]. Since I’m in dev mode I can pull it up even though this Horror Sans is still Interval[0], so we can take a look at these settings!

These are categories of his random dialogue, which can be toggled from a “default” setting (white and gray), or manually overridden to be OFF (red) or ON (green). The default settings of each of these is dependent on the AU and your progress in your relationship with Sans (currently measured in Intervals). 

This is Interval[0] so he just met you. Notice how Papyrus, Underground, and Nap are grayed out? This is because Horror Sans doesn’t trust you enough to even mention his brother existing, or tell you anything about himself. He’s also too agitated to nap at this point, so the default value of that setting is “off” and grayed out. 

This is the array holding default values of the Papyrus conversation topic (Horror’s values are the last value of each line). Every category has its own array like this!

He’s willing to tell you all kinds of jokes, particularly Dark Humor, which is a conversation topic category I added specifically for Horror himself, that UF!Sans will make use of as well. User Traits and Sans’ relationship stats will cause exceptions to this default. Most AUs will also make use of Dark Humor with high Rude or Enmity stats.  

The value in brackets is referring to the Interval (your progression), and in quotes is the default value for each AU of whether he’ll talk about Papyrus or not. Intervals 0-1 Sans would rather you not know Papyrus exist, so he never mentions him or the Underground. After Papyrus calls, the cats outta the bag, so he’s willing to talk about his cool bro later. The exception to this, the 5th AU listen is “on” all the way down. This is because in the Inverted Fate AU, Sans doesn’t know about the timelines or RESETs, so he wouldn’t be nearly as suspicious of you and is willing to talk about his cool bro right off the bat. 

(Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of rewriting I’d have to do for each AU, the phone call series is all classic Undertale universe, so there’s discontinuity for IF!Sans there. Whoops.) 

Anyway! This is a feature that should help facilitate each AU having a unique feel, streamlines new AU implementation, and allows users to control their experience with MVSans. Being able to shut off dark jokes may let some users enjoy their time with Horror Sans more. Longtime users can disable User Tips or categories of dialogue they’re frankly sick of listening to. Having things categorized means I’ll be obligated to round out all his conversation topics, too! There are 20 anatomy puns, but only 2 Dark humor lines at time of writing this! They all need rounding out. 

Stable build v1.3.5 should release next week!

Eventual dating path option! Please note 2 & 3 may take a long while to fully implement, as stat balancing will be tricky. User reports will help a ton once I update the report format to include beta stat variables.

I got kinda burnt out on writing and coding so I’ve swapped to updating the shell. Every existing pose has a blushing version and now I can add sweatdrops to any pose! And for the blushing-blush, he’s got a SUPER BLUSH! This nearly quadruples the number of poses!

and I’ll do this for all four shells!
