Maybe the person sitting on the bench close to him would give him water. Getting onto the bench took a few tries but he finally managed to scramble up the side.

With a sigh he goes for his next best option, one he didn’t like doing. Climbing into the girl’s lap he pats her leg for a minute before letting his sharp nails take charge.

She could smell the stranger a while before she could actually see them; it wasn’t as if picking up on an unfamiliar scent was particularly difficult, anyway. Ears flat against her head, Fido let out a subconscious growl at the stranger, her face not welcoming at all. “This area is reserved for government permitted authorities only. You better have a good reason for intruding.”
