Law sought out the irregular and misaligned the world over. Sought clumsy misshapen bits of brass, silver, copper and gold, destined for one path but warped and buckled into another. Travel with Cora would've been a drudge of extinguishing one feathered scrub fire after another, but Law would've taken it in a shot. Even to the next island. Would have worked side by side with his mother and father. Rejoiced as they found a cure for Lami and himself. Whether by luck or design, the crooked coins in his collection had escaped nations and expectations, sidestepped insularities of the heart. To be as free was enticing, terrifying.

16) How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them? Uh like. 7? I just found a WIP called "Grom fuckup" and i cant for the life of me figure out where I was going with it. I have no memories of it. 27) What is your most and least favorite part of writing? I love writing dialogue. I could write dialogue all day. But I hate descriptions. Describing a room, describing how someone looks....I don't enjoy that.

Lmao you’re so fine I think I buried it in a tag somewhere lol but it was Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler!!!

I feel so late to reading this lmao (but in my defense I was not alive in the 90s to read it when it was published) but I truly could gush about it all day. It’s kind of like if you mashed up the road by cormac mccarthy and the more social commentary/narrative aspects of the hunger games and mixed in the worst case scenario for real life that still feels remotely plausible. Its deeply horrifying but it’s told in such a compelling way you literally cannot stop reading it. It also manages to do all that while avoiding being completely grimdark and maintaining a through line of hope that never completely diminishes

It does have some super triggering content bc it’s a dystopian novel and it’s definitely not YA so it doesn’t pull any punches, so be wary of that if that’s something that bothers you. But it’s a classic for a reason and the reason is it’s phenomenal and I already bought myself the graphic novel version lol. I listened to the audiobook of questionable legality that someone posted on YouTube and the narrator was amazing, 10/10 would recommend!!!!!

im not a big show person but i love american horror story and a series of unfortunate events! neither of those are really “comforting” but i love them a lot. i also recently watched blood of zeus on netflix bc carrie ( @captain-jackson ) recommended it and i think it might become a comfort show for me, i loved it so much. as for comfort MOVIES, i have a few. catching fire, coraline, the polar express, mamma mia 2, the winter soldier, silver linings playbook. the list goes on and on tbh
