Howdy, y'all! I need a lil bit of help with something. You see, I've been writing fanfic for a little while now but didn't publish until a few months back.

That being said, I don't seem to have many readers/much engagement. I do realize my fandom is kinda dying out (gotta love the toxic fans, killing everything :/) but I honestly just want to get some feedback on my writing.

That's the real reason I started writing fanfic, as a way to improve my writing as a whole. I love, love, LOVE constructive criticism, so it'd be nice to get some. I don't typically do self-promos, but I'm getting a lil disheartened by the lack of engagement. So if y'all could, gimme a chance, read a chapter or two. Anything would help!

Rainy Night

Dabi Drabble. GN Reader. No content warning just some soft/comfort fluff after the new chapter, we all need it.

The music blared loudly into the street outside of the disheveled building. Ivy and other plant life took over the outside walls covering the missing bricks that had deteriorated as time had worn the building down. Broken glass from bar fights being taken outside littered the ground along with other trash that was carelessly discarded from people passing by. The neon “Open” sign shown brightly in the darkness of the alleyway the bar hid in. The bar being the only sign of life on the street aside from the screaming in the dark side streets and sirens ringing out, but that was drowned out in his small apartment above the seedy bar as the music from downstairs crept its way through the creaky wooden floors.

But tonight it was raining. These were your favorite nights here. The rain would drown out the music as the beads of water pelted the pavement outside; drops racing down the neon illuminated windows.

You smiled softly, your head resting against Dabi’s chest as you felt a low hum begin to radiate from him and when it hit your ears, your heart melted. Dabi began singing along softly to the song playing from the lousy sound system the run down bar had downstairs. He was no singer by far but Dabi’s voice always brought a wave of calmness over you.

Any fears or doubts are washed away as Dabi’s  fingers danced delicately across your skin. The cold metal of his surgical grade staples causing chills to run across your skin every so often. Every ounce of anger or sadness the day had brought on were washed away; like the rain washing away the debris on the street outside.

Dabi only ever saw himself as someone who could cause pain to others but you saw him in a different light; in a way he couldn’t see himself. You were calm, at peace with the rain and serenity he brought you. The kind of peace you have only ever known because of him.

I went with his snz in the Japanese dub cause he as harsh stifles and i dont do alot with stifles so i did.

Also h//awks is southern boi cause i cant apparently voice h//awks without doing that sorry if you don’t like it too bad it is the best i can do
