Every month #FanForum chooses three boards to spotlight, and this month we are spotlighting the #Lucifer board! #Lucifer is an American show based on the DC character of the same name. The show has built up quite a fanbase, and despite being cancelled by Fox after 3 seasons, #Netflix picked up the series for series 4 and it has gained positive, high ratings.

The #Lucifer board opened five years ago on January 2016 and is moderated by  Jared ❤︎ Jensen and TomsEnough. The mods believe the special thing about their board is indeed the friendliness of the members, one of their more popular threads is the Off Topic thread where they are almost always there talking with each other, sharing their day to day lives with each other; posting on the board is talking to your friends about a show you love. In addition to raving about the show, there is a lot of love not just for each other and this board but for all of the cast, the characters, the writers, the producers. 

Jared ❤︎ Jensen  sums it up best, “that's what keeps us posting we wanna talk to our friends and bond over this show that means so much to us, and over the cast and crew we admire who bring it to life.”

Mod TomsEnough explains how having Tom Welling join the show in season 3 brought her to the fanbase, his popularity was definitely a good boost to the show’s success. 

When FOX decided to cancel the series at the end of the third season, the fans rallied together with the "SaveLucifer" campaign, which proved to be successful as Lucifer has already lasted for three more seasons on Netflix, its new home. The cast of Lucifer are truly like a family, and their fantastic rapport is one of the reasons why the fans are so dedicated to the show.

Every month FanForum chooses three boards to Spotlight, this month we have selected the Heroes Board! 

Heroes is an NBC Sci-Fi show that begun airing in 2006. In this serial drama, Heroes follows the lives of people across the globe who possess various superhuman powers as they struggle to cope with their everyday lives and prevent foreseen disasters from occurring. Heroes premiered its finale in 2010 but that was not the last we heard of it. The fated show sparked spin-offs such as Heroes Unmasked and Heroes Reborn which hit television screens in 2007 and 2015. 

The Heroes Board was opened on November 19th, 2006 only two months after the show first premiered and has been one of the most dedicated places on the internet to discuss and pay tribute to this past show. The current moderators of this board are PhoenixRising (Alex) and samira_86 (Sam), both are dedicated fans of Heroes and are extremely welcoming to all those who visit the Heroes Board. Pulling away from that, the Heroes board isn't just about the Moderators. The board is also home to some fantastic and passionate posters who love their home on FanForum. You can see their commitment alone with their recent posting celebration of 1,500,000 posts, a truly amazing feat! No matter what type of fan you are, there is a place for you over on the Heroes board. 

The Heroes board has everything from character appreciation threads, episode/season discussions, re-watches, to fun and games! This month we’re spotlighting the #JasonBehr board on #FanForum, a board for the American actor who has starred on #Roswell as well as roles in movies “The Shipping News” and “The Grudge.”

The #JasonBehr board has been on #FanForum for almost 20 years! It opened on #FanForum in September 2000, and is one of FF’s oldest boards. Its a small community of fans and when Jason was on #Roswell, the board was really busy, and episodes were discussed in detail as soon as they'd aired!

The mods highlight that the photo thread remains to be,of their more popular threads, and the members love to look at his old photos! The board also has a thread for Jason's wife Kadee, which the members love as its their source of photos as Jason doesn't use social media. Jason has a son, and as much as fans value his privacy, they love seeing him happy with his family. Fortunately, Jason and his wife are very rarely targeted by the paparazzi - most of the photos they have are from KaDee's social media accounts.

As well as discussing Jason on the forum, a lot of the members have even met in real life. Some of the older members have met each other (and Jason) in real life; meeting up at premieres and various other events. There are members from all over the world, and the mods enthuse that they love getting to know each other and having the "escape from reality the board provides." One of their oldest and most loyal members remembers being on the board during 9/11 and sharing the horror and concern with other members - it was a place to talk freely without judgement. This truly shows the impact this board has made on their life.

Mod aube_ocean says that the board is the main reason she got into the board so she could have a place to talk about Jason and how his performance on #Roswell mesmerized her. The family thread is her favourite as the members love to talk about the family. Despite being a private family, that they respect, they value any pictures and news they get of the family. The board is a nice group of people, and modded by a great team, are very welcoming to anyone that wants to join them, so make sure to visit their board here!

Colin Arthur O'Donoghue, born January 26th, 1981, is an Irish actor and musician. He attended Dundalk Grammar School, and later The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. He made his Hollywood film debut alongside Anthony Hopkins in the horror thriller film The Rite in 2011. He is best known for portraying Captain Killian "Hook" Jones on the TV show Once Upon a Time. The Colin O'Donoghue board opened on February 1st, 2015. The mods Jade [sourburst] (appointed when the board opened), and Christina [x♥xBeautiful_Butterflyx♥x] (appointed in December 2016), are very enthusiastic about Colin and the board. Each month Fan Forum provides forum spotlights to let people know about the forums we have on Fan Forum, this month it is time for Canadian born actor Taylor Kitsch's board to receive its spotlight. The fans discuss a variety of different topics ranging from speaking of Taylor's roles to appreciation threads about different topics about him as a person, like the charity work that he has been involved with Taylor was born on April 8th, 1981 in British Columbia, Canada and like most Canadians; he is a fan of hockey and even played in the 2017 "All-Star Celebrity Shootout". A hot topic on the forum is the Social Media basically due to how Taylor for a long time wasn't going to join; so now that he has; the fans are all excited about his Instagram account Friday Night Lights ran from 2006-2011 and it was the beginning of success for Taylor. Next for Taylor is going to be a movie called "17 Bridges" which is currently being filmed and allows him the chance to work with the rising star of Chadwick Boseman, J.K. The Resident is an American medical drama television series aired by Fox Broadcasting Company that premiered on January 21, 2018. The fictional series focuses on the lives and duties of staff members at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, while delving into the bureaucratic practices of the hospital industry. The Resident board opened on January 15th, 2018 and was voted on by the fans as part of the Mid-Season Shows Poll. The current moderator is Jamie [Jamie Choate] who was appointed three months later. She's very enthusiastic about the show and the board and loves welcoming new posters who are fans of the show. They are celebrating 10,000 posts right now so be sure to congratulate them! Conrad Hawkins, played by Matt Czuchry, is one of the fans' favourite characters to discuss. They love talking about this tough, brilliant and cocky senior resident who stands up to the wrong-doings of doctors in high power like Chief of Surgery turned CEO, Randolph Bell. They also love the complicated romance he has with nurse practitioner, Nicolette Nevin or Nic for short (played by Emily VanCamp), and following their journey as they figure out their relationship. That 70s show was an American TV programme and sitcom that aired between August 23rd, 1998 to May 18, 2006. The series focused on the lives of six teenager friends, set between 1976-9. As such, the show featured ideaologies and themes from the 70s, and it also allowed creators to include Star Wars, which premiered in 1977.

The popular That 70s show board on Fan Forum has astoundingly been part of Fan Forum since at least April 28, 1999! The board's two mods, MistyMountainHop and Grazzhopper, kindly inform me that the board has been running for over 19 years which is simply incredible, and next year they hope to celebrate their 20th anniversary! Speaking to the both of them, the board's success is largely due to their dedication and passion, of a show that is very close to their heart, still to his day.

The most popular thread is Hyde/Jackie "Zen Masters" thread. Hyde/Jackie is a ship that has captivated fans for many years. Its a personal favourite of mine, simply because they were polar opposites, and for many seasons they seemed liked an unlikely duo. An interesting fact is that their shipper name "Zen Masters" originated from the board and is used by most Jackie/Hyde shippers on other social media platforms (e.g., tumblr, twitter, etc.) and on major fanfic sites like fanfiction.net and archiveofourown.org

Like many, a lot of fans were upset when Jackie/Hyde broke up in Season 8. It was brought to my attention that during the airing and continuing production of That '70s Show's final season, which saw the final breakup of Jackie and Hyde, a letter-writing campaign was spearheaded on the T7S board to repair Jackie and Hyde's relationship and put them back together by the end of the series. A poster of the T7S board had all the letters organized in a packet. She went to a season 8 taping and presented this packet to a producer of the show, who unfortunately told her that Jackie and Hyde were done for good. But at least fans on the T7S board organized and tried to fix what the new showrunners for season 8 had broken. This is true evidence of how dedicated fans of the board can be.

Wilmer Valderrama, the actor who played Fez, made his own thread on the board (May 8, 2003) to say hello to and thank his fans for their support. This came about because a poster from the board went to a That '70s Show taping and told him about the site.

In addition to all this, the game threads and discussion threads continue to be popular. The boards' members continue to come up with differing scenarios for the characters, even after the show ended. The mods Lisa (MistyMountainHop) and Lulu (Grazzhopper) are only too welcoming when members join in the discussions.

Every month Fan Forum provides board spotlights in order to educate people about the forums we have on our mutli fandom website. Currently it is time for Sophia Bush who was born, July 8 1982, and is a California born actress best known for her roles in One Tree Hill and Chicago PD. November 1st is going to mark the amazing 14 year anniversary of the forum with how it opened in 2004. Over the years they have celebrated many post milestones and currently have around 535 800 posts. This amount of posts shows that Sophia has been given a lot of love over the years Sophia was on the hit series, One Tree Hill, during its entire run from 2003 until 2012 where she was in all the 188 episodes as Brooke Davis. After that, Sophia continued on to the One Chicago franchise where she played Erin Lindsay from 2013-2017. A popular thread on the forum is the Brooke|Peyton due to the fact that on screen the girls were best friends and off screen they are just as close, as can be seen by the Sophia|Hilarie. To complete the cycle of the One Tree Hill ladies, Brooke|Haley is a very popular discussion which in turn has a Sophia|Bethany thread. Sophia has had a lot of time on the One Chicago's where her character Erin had 11 episodes during the original start of Chicago Fire, 84 episodes on Chicago PD and has appeared in 6 episodes of Chicago Med. As Sophia is a beautiful gorgeous woman, the picture thread would be a great thread to check out for stunning photoshoots that she has done.
