Even after the letter from #BoatUS the mayor and police chief of #Gulfport have said they will continue their crusade against the boaters. The city has closed access to the dinghy dock for boaters. They've instructed us to use the marina dock. The marina has a large, empty parking lot but towed one cruiser's car after telling them they could park. Please, please, show some humanity! This needs to stop until the world calms down. Using #corinavirus as an excuse to destroy other human beings is #notcool. BoatUS sent this letter to the mayor of Gulfport today. It explains how the city is breaking the law by trying to enforce an anchoring law. The city of Gulfport is well aware that what they are doing is illegal. The End of Summer For me just as the beginning of summer is when we get the boat in the water, the end of summer is when we pull the boat out of the water.

Well, THAT lasted all of 10 seconds! Sal’right. It makes her happy & I have hidden a huge bone. (Should last about 10 minuets.) The boat is over provisioned. 12v & 110 going strong without problems, fans, lights & sailing gear has been “shook out” & the motor has had alotta maintenance. Zinc (correct one, hopefully the #3rdtimesacharm) coming tomorrow. Sailing away from #georgetownsc in a few & so overwhelmingly #bittersweet. I wouldn’t have all of this without the help & generosity of the local #BoatUS #captain & his faithful crew. They’ve been exceedingly generous with their time, expertise & space. If you ever need anything in #Georgetown, make sure you seek them out. It’s more than their jobs, it’s a way of life. #refreshing to find a small town that has still retained its charm. I will leave a part of my heart here (but I will not be leaving the #pooch). (at Georgetown, South Carolina)

Captain Ronnie’s small arsenal is holding down the fort as he is off to do that thing he does while he has the flu! Quite the #smalltowncharm this place has. I can see why people come & never leave. #ducksinarow This is the #BoatUS for #Georgetown #southcarolina. My repairs are done, I’m waiting on some packages & now have a #boatbuddy to sail down with if I like (I have a few options now- always do) & #fairweather is back in the forecast.
