Mike Bloom Scratch Main 5/87 at CM Speedway Schwartz, Faria, Ott and Christian
The Kelly Moran post, combined with all the posts about David Busby connected some nerve endings in Jim Busby's head, and I got hear about his speedway involvement...
Jim Busby Jr won the Jr National Championship twice! David Busby started at age 9 and got 2nd twice once to Jim Jr and once to Greg Hancock.
This got Jim's gears cranking around to the point that he began selling Speedway bikes right out of the Busby Shop, leading to his introduction to Kelly Moran, Bobby Schwartz, Alan Christian and a lot of other great Speedway racers.
Jim never personally raced the bikes, he was knee deep in auto racing, and eventually sold the business... They do, however represent a whole chapter in his career that we will definitely refer back to.
