From Anchor to Ardun.

A while back, Richard Munz had David Busby go to an obscure and disturbing location to dig this engine out of a garage... Braving dead rats, and live angry rattlesnakes- David managed to bring it back, duck tape and all to the Busby shop.

Well... After some serious elbow grease from David, the hunk of metal that seemed nothing more than an elaborate anchor- is now a show stopping beauty of an Ardun...

Now, that's better.

The master at work, making this 4 Cyliner look like new as well... It came in around the same time;

David is responsible for re-building all the old engines that come to the shop, in addition to building some from scratch.

This is how you get 420 hp out of a '49 Merc.

The David Busby built engine for the Busby/ Munz Bonneville Roadster... It looks a little different than when it was the original 95 horsepower to begin with.

We had an amazing time up in Monterey... Lot's of great people, food and lodging... In the end, it was fun seeing everyone get together in such a casual and friendly manner at the Laguna Seca Raceway, thanks to Dominic Dobson, the event creator.

Radical Sportscars sent out Rob Wheldon... Super human mechanic and driver who had the fastest times on the track, even amongst some of the greats... Plus, he's a nice guy, and a pleasure to hang out with.

New Bonneville Challenge

So... This beauty is a '33 Ford that a new figure at the Busby shop named Dave Storstad bought and is having the Busby A Team make into a car that runs and looks as good as the '32 Roadster owned and operated by Jim Busby and Richard Munz...

They have completely taken it apart and have done some frame repairs and reinforcements...Meanwhile they are assessing what needs to be done with the engine to make the little flat head run as fast as possible with Nitro!

I can't wait to see how this car transforms!
