Building a Sims 2 Tropical Vacation Subhood #1

Listen, Twikki Island is great. But I am ready for something new. So I have decided to simply build my own tropical vacation paradise for my sims to enjoy. (With a goal of low to no-CC used)

How it started:

After downloading a crazy number of sc4s from allover, I've actually started test-building a few lots on moon islands sc4 that came with the game... It is slowly starting to take shape and I have grown to like that map a lot...

How it's going:

Today I started to rework a restaurant I had originally built in a BACC Alien world that i played years ago, changed A LOT of things, re-adjusted it as a beach lot... and it kind of works..

When finished, this will be a beachfront restaurant right next to the big resort complexes. This side of the island is supposed to be the sleek and tidy touristy area, while i would like to go for more of an untouched jungle vibe on the other side of the island...

Spotted while playtesting: Snapper Sam (island local/mascot) and David Bennet (random tourist) on what looks like a lunch date.

The 'jungle'-side of my island is finally taking shape:

Shown here are two lots that I am currently reworking to include more activities: An ancient temple site and a jungle camp. 🥥🌴

A few changes made to the original lot so far:

added small pretend ticket area with souvenir rack & till

added restroom

harvestable and climbable coconut trees

a bird stand so my sims can interact with a tropical birdy and it might even fly around the lot giving it extra jungle-vibes

added a second temple fountain that is actually accessable

hammock to chill out, easel for painting

placed invisible fishing spots

🌴2) Jungle Camp 🏕️ (based on this lot by kashinthegreen)

For this one I haven't changed a lot yet, as it already had a tropical food stand, the fire dancer, and a camp fire

Yesterday there were turtle babies hatching at @bob_island. If we stayed longer sure can witness that beautiful moments! So here's to remember the exciting diving trip we had in Padang #TCTravel #TCxIndonesia #bobisland #RenazaResort #throwback (at Renaza Resort)
