Have you ever wondered into a book shop not looking for anything in particular, but you walk out with something that grips you and you can’t put down? Well that happened to me last week. Whenever I’m Bristol I always make a point of going into Foyles bookshop in Cabot Circus to see what’s new on the shelves. At first I though this was a book about Al Capone. But after a closer inspection and a read of the back cover I soon realised this was about the media mogul and billionaire businessman Robert Maxwell. About his meteoric rise to power. And ultimately his almighty downfall and eventual death. An event no one knows to this day quite what happened? Was he pushed or did he fall? Was it natural or underhand tactics that drove him into a watery grave? I’m not even halfway through yet but it has already proven to be a fantastic read.
