Hey look! I'm still alive! So a few months ago this blog undeniably died from neglect (Although I do still share all my travels on Facebook). But it turns out that more people were interested in this than I realised so I guess I'll be trying to bring this back by popular demand. To briefly summarise events since the last post on here: After Gran Canaria I went back home to Northen Ireland for 2 months because my British passport was due to expire on me, so I replaced it with an Irish one (because Brexit can fuck off). And so my great adventure through southern Spain came to an end. Matt & Olek stayed out travelling in the islands a little longer and then returned to Barcelona for a while before Matt got flown out to London for a TV job, where he decided to stay in London for 2 months (homeless btw) for stuntman opportunities and Olek continued travelling up the west coast of France for some months. They're both back home in Ireland now. While I had a pretty great time in Ireland and it was really nice to be at home and to see people again for a little while, I felt like I was definitely there for a little too long. So at the end of June I went out to Netherlands and decided that from there I would start my solo travels around Europe. Still hitchhiking, sleeping rough and 'recycling' when possible. It's been a hell of a few months. From being taken in by kind Dutch families, to meeting mad characters im Belgium, to living in a squat in Paris, to volunteering at the refugee camp in Calais, to an epic quest to hitchhike all the way back to Ireland from France! It's been a very fun and eventful 3 months. And I was consistently attacked by sheer human kindness! But I'm so behind on this blog that when I started drafting this post I was in Leuven, Belgium and by the time I'm bothering to finish it, I'm back home again! I'd love to share with you my last few months of adventures through Europe and I've plenty of photos I'd like to share but I'm not sure how. I could either post about and cover my last few months in Europe through a series of posts, OR I can write up one big post start to finish.
