Every time ur about to blame an environmental issue on overpopulation i want you to take a step back and really think about why you think this. Is it because of the amounts of resources being consumed by humanity?

Who is consuming these resources? Who is demanding their extraction regardless of need?

To blame population is to blame those who will suffer most from resources being taken from their environments. Its industry, lads. Its CEOs and companys and capitalism. Its not overpopulation but they really really want you to think it is
