Iwaizumi idolizes Bokuto because he’s one of the top five aces in the country. He may also have a small crush because who can resist that owlish charm?

So when Iwaizumi spots Bokuto in a random shop in Tokyo he immediately runs up to introduce himself and maybe get some volleyball tips. Instead of being his usual calm self, he’s stammering and blushing because wow his smile is really bright and he just radiates happiness. Bokuto, being the oblivious child that he is, just keeps grinning and talking. Oikawa is a few feet away trying to control his laughter as he snaps some pics of Iwaizumi (for future blackmail).

When Iwaizumi and Oikawa finally leave, Oikawa pokes some fun at Iwaizumi, saying “Wow, Iwa-chan! I didn’t realize your face could get so red! It seems like you might have a crush on him~.” And Iwaizumi just turns beet red and stammers out a “S-Shut up, Shittykawa!” before running around the street corner, bumping into none other than Bokuto.

Iwaizumi is still a blushing mess and Bokuto just looks at him for a few seconds before laughing a bit and saying “Hey, you’re really cute when you’re flustered! Wanna go on a date?”

Needless to say, Iwaizumi was very happy and very embarrassed as he said yes.
