#Repost @animalhopeandwellness with @repostapp ・・・ On the eve of BokNal, we shut down a dog farm and a slaughterhouse. A business that had been open for over ten years. A decade full of death. A decade full of torture and dying. . In the end, I know the shutting down of single places has little effect. But to me, it is still a step in the right direction. An illustration of what it means to be a human being. Forgiveness. Second chances. And giving, because inside of us, there is something to give. . For the 66 dogs and 12 puppies that would have died here at BokNal, today marks the dawn of a new beginning. No more violence. No more suffering. But most importantly, the chance to really hold something. The chance to close their eyes and say, "This is what makes the suffering worth it." . For me as a human being, the crushing of those cages, it was the first time I was able to pull something back inside me. It took me eight times of walking into the mouth of the dying, to stop the blood that fell to the ground beside me. . My name is Marc Ching, and if I am a believer in one thing, I am believer in humanity. A believer that light over comes darkness. That in the midst of death and violence, that if we persevere, hope still remains for the dying. . Chances. Give to me second chances. . #Trip8 #animalhopeandwellness #TheCompassionProject #BokNal .
