Reasons I, a multishipper, have stopped liking some ships

This is all personal salt about ships.  Im not gonna name any of them but yall will probably be able to figure out what they are by talking to me about shipping for longer than like 3 seconds lol........

AAANYWAY ON TO THE REASONS

AMOUNT OF CONTENT Like... I’ll look up a character on tumblr or ao3 and it’s entirely that ship.  Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!  It just gets SUPER annoying because like............. get some variation!  There are other viable characters!  Let them date other people!  This is probably one of the biggest reasons I stop liking ships tbh.  The fandom is essentially swamped with some, and it’s irritating when you prefer something else.

BLATANT MISCHARACTERIZATION I’ve just noticed it in some other fics that people tend to ignore parts of a character or have bought into fanon representations of the characters that I personally feel aren’t accurate to how they are represented in the show and it irritates me.

THE DYNAMIC IS WEIRD I get it.  People like power dynamics in ships.  So do I.  Some power dynamics I just don’t like because it’s too unbalanced.  I don’t like ‘they owe them’ dynamics, and I don’t like dynamics where one party holds all the power.  If there’s an imbalance, I want it to be on both sides.  One might have more physical power, but the other has more emotional.  Naturally, the unbalanced power ones are not at all healthy, and my favorite is when it’s balanced and healthy.

I’VE SEEN A SHIP WAR This one might seem a little bit bizarre but the fastest way to make me stop liking a ship is to argue that it’s so much better than another ship.  And yeah I know that’s kinda what im doing rn but I just need to bitch about this sort of thing.  Ship wars bug me, and I usually stop liking both ships involved in it.

I JUST DON’T LIKE IT OKAY For whatever reason there are some ships I just don’t like
