Dadvertisting Takes Over the Super Bowl
Super Bowl XLIX has come and gone. But there's one thing we will always remember: THE ADS!
While there were some interesting marketing choices made this year (ah-hem Nationwide) we noticed a clear trend: Dadvertisting. Here’s a quick run down of the best Dadvertisting moments from Super Bowl XLIX.
If Super Bowl commercials could receive Academy Awards we’d nominate this one. Braving a swarm of bees and watching your daughter head offto the army takes the strength only dedicated dads can muster. But what makesthis dad truly bold? Being totally fine with picking up his daughter at 1am in the rain after a high-school party. We loved it. #bolddad
Ok. If this dadvertisment didn’t get to you, you may have no soul. By the time we got to the end we were so touched that we didn’t even mind that our favorite childhood moments were being exploited to sell men’s hygiene products. You will definitely need a hug from dad after watching this one. #realstrength
Whether this commercial was for NASCAR or Nissan still seems up for debate. But there’s one thing we can say for sure: these guys really know their audience. Combine fast cars with the touching moments of a close-knit family and BAM! Dadvertisment. Our favorite thing about this ad is that it kicks off a Nissan campaign to raise $1M for Habitat for Humanity and the Wounded Warrior Project. Not too bad for a dad ad. #withdad
