Bolin Chen for Harper’s Bazaar China
i can't be the only one who thinks bolin chen and ross butler look super alike
In Time with You A feel-so-good after series. The ending was so good that I even watched the last episode so many times.
Love Sick Chen Bolin and Ariel Lin's chemistry is undeniably good. Good story though a little plain and cute😊 You can never go wrong with this two💕 8/10 good watch😊
So, The King of Blaze started
I watched the first two episodes and my take is that this is sort of like An Oriental Odyssey - somewhat silly, somewhat old school (it honestly could have been made a decade ago), and very entertaining. I will be watching for sure.
(Side note - apparently the main couple was gay in the original novel since it was of the BL genre. They have obviously changed that. Which seems a little weird - why not adapt one of the bazillion straight fantasy/period romances out there instead?)
I do like the main character because he’s basically a super-powerful alien and we get hilarious bits like this:
Five minutes later:
Hahahaha.
I don’t have much opinion about the heroine yet, but she is at least not annoying. The chemistry is so-so but they haven’t had much romance yet. Perhaps I am spoiled by Bolin Chen setting the screen on fire with Ariel Lin in In Time With You.
I think the general dude is gonna be an antagonist though he is frankly too dim to be effective - sure, arrest the guy who can deflect weapons with his mind and control fire. If he wanted to kill you, you’d already be dead, so to accuse him of attempted murder or think you can arrest him unless he wants to be, is bizarre.
Bonus:
