Wait, what does cracking your knuckles or back mean to a skeleton? Is it just rude or does it mean something else?

They’re just very aware that it’s your joints making those noises and the sound of bone popping or cracking can make them think of bones breaking as well which is never pleasant for them. Breaking a bone is a true ordeal for them.

Also, I know you are acquainted with the fabulous battlemaiden13 and I personally enjoy their headcanon of cracking bones reminding them of more intimate activities :^). So, it’s a little bit of that too.
