Made bone from from the turkey and then used it to make a turkey rice soup today!
Look at that gel! It came out so well!

I have issues with getting the nutrients I need especially when I was living in a dorm with no kitchen but I’ve recently discovered the amazing and definitely new and made up by me (very old and well known) method of simmering vegetables scraps and bones to get the nutrients I need so I don’t get scurvy. I’m going to call it garbage soup (it’s literally just vegetable and bone broth/stock)
First time I've actually made bone stock, this is the unsalted pure stock. The marrow is still inside the bones, so I'm going to use it a second time, and pick a day when I'm not working to do it lmao, and this time I'm definitely going to try and literally atomize these bones and turn them into stock.
Anyway I'm pretty pleased with how it looks. It's rich but not very thick, because I didn't add collagen-containing ingredients, like pork trotters or chicken feet or pork skin or beef tendons. If the stuff isn't very expensive then maybe I'll try that next time.

Already did half the roasting time for the beef bones, just need to roast the vegetables now, then I can start on the beef stock proper.

Ok, for realz. This is my last beef stock until the fall. Then, I only have one more chicken stock to make and I’m done making stocks for the summer!
