I understand that wills could be scary to think about since they are important. But it's annoying that many people don't have them or want to avoid them. Especially for older people. You would think Bonham would have everything ready especially since he was sick. The last thing his family needs after his death is dealing with things that could be dealt with in a will sooner. It could also lessen the stress while grieving.

Yeah that's exactly my point, especially with all his talk last season about preserving the family legacy. With tens of acres of land to his name and who knows how much in other assets, you would think he would have a plan in place for where he wanted everything to go.

Wills may be scary to think about but it's not just about you; it's about everything (and everyone) you're leaving behind. I'm glad he came around on it but you would think he'd already have a draft laying around somewhere.....

I would like to point out that not only had he been kidnapped and tortured recently. (And Stella made a big deal about lying to him because he couldn’t handle the truth because of what he went through) Cordell almost died the very day that Stella threw her tantrum and moved out without saying goodbye.

That’s how little they care.

Damn anon you just reminded me of how well the Walkers were (seemingly) handling Cordell's trauma at the beginning of this season :/

I wager Stella and August may not have been aware of Cordell's brush with death in 3x06 but I do have to wonder if Bonham and Abby are only capable of caring about one of their sons at a time.

They were more than happy to wrangle Liam away from his life in New York to help them watch after the kids pre season 1. Then Season 1 came and Abby and Bonham concerned themselves more with helping Liam find a future in Texas than helping Cordell recenter himself in the family. Then season 2 brought the Davidson threat, which had them mostly worried about Cordell and left Liam to flounder in the face of losing his job and his reputation and everything he'd worked for. And now in season 3 we have Bonham dismissing Cordell's lingering trauma because of how Liam is struggling and Abby...being Abby.

So Bonham bought a turkey days beforehand, did not tell his sons and never thought to take it out to have it unthaw?

Apparently so

He's at least partially to blame for that dinner. At least the frozen turkey bit. Depending on how big the turkey was Liam and Cordell might've been able to save it with cold-water dousing but that's if they even knew that trick, which I doubt

Bonham's not earning a lot of Good Dad points tonight lol

Probably an unpopular opinion but I didn't like how Bonham was the episode after Defend the Ranch. He was making loud noises when Liam was trying to sleep and making him do work. I try not to be so hard on him since he was handling the hostage situation and not being able to protect his family. Also it's how he is. He works to keep distracted. I just found it really annoying.

Ugh I hate a lot of things about that episode and one of those things is that Liam was expected to get out of bed and help build an alpaca barn while his arm was still in a sling

Course, given Bonham's normal thoughts on health conditions it was pretty in character for him. Also he might've been a little drunk.
