One thing I will say is that I felt really bad for August this episode

He got the full brunt of everyone's "Why didn't you tell us"/"What were you thinking" and I don't think he really got the chance to speak.

I just feel like if he had the chance to explain that he WANTED to talk sooner but he didn't want Stella to cut him out because of the "betrayal" (which happened as soon as he reached his breaking point on that issue), then they would've been more understanding

I hope Stella apologizes for leaving him holding the bag but something tells me there won't be time for that.

Also wait why didn't Stella offer to help run the Side Step while she was there? It certainly would've been more productive and useful than helping her dear uncle plot a questionable business idea

Not saying her making dinner at the end wasn't nice but she was literally there, watching Colton struggle, and just being offended when he wasn't in the mood to support her fantasies

Speaking of Stella blaming others for her problems-

That's a trait that tends to be assigned to Walker antagonists (Clint, Gale)

I'm fully aware that no one but me cares about this but

How is Todd doing?

He picked Sauber (a school that he had a hard time getting into) solely because he wanted to be with Stella after graduation. He also still planned to go there after they broke up and he wanted to keep her friendship (and study help).

Do you think he still went? Did he hear about Stella deciding not to go at the last minute? If he still went, how is he doing? Is he making new friends? Is he handling the courseload? Or is he struggling? Is he thinking about dropping out? If he decided not to go for any reason (money, academic struggles, etc), what is he up to now? Did he get a job or is he going to a local community college? Or maybe he's going to a trade school?

Idk it just kind of hit me how much Stella just Impacted his life and then ditched him

It's annoying when people give Stella a hard time for her actions 3x02 clearly forget that if it had been Stella and Auggie that were taken Cordi would've done the same thing if not so much worse (that goes for Liam as well) to get his kids back

I think Stella's heart was in the right place but her biggest mistake was going without backup. And, no, August doesn't count as backup.

I can understand why she acted the way she did but it wasn't the smartest move and all the lying she did after didn't help. Saying that someone else would've done the same doesn't really absolve her

I can relate to Stella taking some time before going to college. I did the same. But it just makes sense to me that she finds a job or something meaningful to do until she's ready. Her complaining about working annoyed me.

Yeah, that irked me too. Nothing wrong with taking time off to figure out what you want but you can't just sit on your ass all day either

Although looking back, she may have just been objecting to having a job forced on her rather than being allowed to soul search and dabble in her interests and figure things out. Granted, she can do that while working at the Side Step but she and Cordell clearly had different ideas about what "figure our the future" meant.

I would like to point out that not only had he been kidnapped and tortured recently. (And Stella made a big deal about lying to him because he couldn’t handle the truth because of what he went through) Cordell almost died the very day that Stella threw her tantrum and moved out without saying goodbye.

That’s how little they care.

Damn anon you just reminded me of how well the Walkers were (seemingly) handling Cordell's trauma at the beginning of this season :/

I wager Stella and August may not have been aware of Cordell's brush with death in 3x06 but I do have to wonder if Bonham and Abby are only capable of caring about one of their sons at a time.

They were more than happy to wrangle Liam away from his life in New York to help them watch after the kids pre season 1. Then Season 1 came and Abby and Bonham concerned themselves more with helping Liam find a future in Texas than helping Cordell recenter himself in the family. Then season 2 brought the Davidson threat, which had them mostly worried about Cordell and left Liam to flounder in the face of losing his job and his reputation and everything he'd worked for. And now in season 3 we have Bonham dismissing Cordell's lingering trauma because of how Liam is struggling and Abby...being Abby.

All caught up on Walker verse, but since I got no friends to talk to about it i'll anon you if thats okay! First of all, Walker. I would in fact not hate if Abeline died. I do not like her. Yes i will go to hell ah well.. but instead of telling her son that she effing knows about Stella and August pisses me ooooff. What so she can sit on her high horse and have Cordell make shit worse for himself? To hell with her. It's not as if Cordell isn't going through shit of his own right? And only for Stella to act all high and mighty as well? The kids piss me off too. As for WIndy, why am I starting to love the Sheriff arregh lmao. I also randomly ship Calian and Kate on the sole basis of the promo photos of the two of them and thats it since they havent really had anything in the show itself lol. Besides that Calian and Abby would be lovely. And finally. I want to braid Calian and Hoyts hair while talking shit with Kate and Abby. There. I'm done for now.

Caught up just in time for the return of Walkerverse next week!

I'm not happy with how Abby handled all that either. She's normally more than happy to meddle in her son's parenting so the fact that she didn't step in and try to fix things before they got out of hand is odd. Maybe Bonham tried to get her to hold back?

I am glad she'll be returning for the rest of season 3 though. She reminds me of my grandma (in a good way) so I'm a little biased but I think there's still a lot to do with her character. Maybe she'll evne learn a lesson or two.

I don't blame Stella for being mad but I do think she could've handled things better and not let Colton talk her into ruining Thanksgiving (which, to her credit, she was hesitant to do).

August has a lot of growing up to do and I hope Cordell sticks to his promise to help him or we're going to be right back here next season :/

I think we're all starting to fall in love with Sheriff Davidson XD The writers are doing a great job of giving him depth and nuance and I can't wait to see what they do with him next.

Calian/Kate is something that I would like to see. We haven't seen them interact much but Kate respects him more than everyone in Independence (aside from Abigail ofc) and their promo photos together are adorable. Calian/Abby has a nice ring to it too though..... So many options!

Can I join you in braiding Calian's hair while gossiping with Kate? That sounds like a dream.
