god the bonus was so fun to write. glad you clocked derek's video title i thought i was being funny lmao. i was like. how can i add one last reference.... wait i know.

...honestly most of the bonus was based off of 'you know what would be funny' and i was writing with bad internet so i just gave up and grabbed my own fic to act as the second one. whoops. it was very fun to write though.

reading: i'm in the middle of @ixiedust-writes's so make the friendship bracelets which is such a sweet read for the holidays and has so many relatable parenting moments! and i just read the latest chapter of @r33sespieces's shake me to my core which was ahhhh scrumptious.

last series: just watched the latest episode of heated rivalry yesterday and it was so soft and nice!

last film: actually watched frozen for the first time with my kid the other day haha i didn't realize elsa isn't the protagonist! it's all about her sister! why does elsa get all the hype?

last song:

sweet or salty: both ahh i need my fix of both

coffee or tea: i am staunchly for both! black coffee in the morning, inject that shit into my veins, and then demure herbal tea the rest of the day, maybe a little green tea or a little black tea as a treat.

working on: woke up this morning and thought hmmm feels like a good day to write about a little heist. 👀

Thanks everyone for joining me for another drabblefest this year! I have enjoyed sharing these 100-word (and one 200-word) stories with you! Also a special thanks for everyone who sent me all the amazing prompts that inspired my writing this month! You made it all possible! I got a late request which I thought was fun and decided to offer these two drabbles as a bonus today, a little Halloween Treat for my tumblr friends! Enjoy!

Drabble #1: Luke

Face-to-face with his unauthorized biographer, Luke took a seat at the bar.

“Didn’t think you’d come.”

“Me neither,” Luke smiled.

“You’re not mad?”

“Mad? No. Confused, maybe.” His fingers drummed the bartop. “Why invent stuff? Why not write facts?”

The author shrugged. “I give your fans what they crave.”

“But not the truth?”

“No one knows the truth, Skywalker. They love the myth.”

“The myth...” Luke said it like a curse. “That’s what sells.”

“Yes.” A simple answer.

“But the real me...” he trailed off, eyes unfocused.

“Better this way, trust me,” she soothed. “C’mon, I’ll buy you a drink.”

Drabble #2: Thrawn

“You’ve published blatant lies about me.” Thrawn glowered. “Explain yourself.”

“I’ve also written speculative biography about NR celebrities,” the writer answered. “Luke Skywalker, Mon Mothma, others.”

“You’re a propagandist.”

“I was very complimentary!” his prisoner protested. “May I ask what in particular you take issue with?”

The question seemed to surprise him. Finally, Thrawn replied: “Innuendos, insinuations, implications of impropriety.”

“Meaning lovers,” she grinned. “Give me the facts, I’ll publish a revised edition.”

Thrawn raised an eyebrow. “Or you print a retraction, stating every affair is a fabrication.” He smiled coldly. “Under penalty of death.”

“That works too,” she nodded.
