Unofficial Sapients: Centaurs (mageliens world)

Centaurs and Bug-centaurs are not recognised as sapient by the Council of Five. They are used for labour in most systems, and though some planets have illegalized the exploitation of unofficial sapients, those laws are difficult to enforce. Centaurs have great mana and minimal tech, while bug-cents have low mana and a higher innovation score. (I’m gonna mess with patterns because I’m still thinking about stripes. I love stripes)

Willow (the centaur in the image) was pried off its planet and used as a workhorse for several years. It uses illusions to replace her docked tail, and is somewhat uncomfortable with being treated like a person in public. She’s been on Edgar’s ship for a while, and works in the kitchens. (He bought its freedom, to be clear)

I don’t know the bug-cent yet. They’re probably an engineer of some sort.
