Holy mola!
These unique fish are known as mola mola and they're found in Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Massive bony fish, they have the ability to grow 14 feet wide, 10 feet long, and can weigh in around 5,000 pounds! Their vertical fins are sometimes mistaken for shark fins, but despite their size, they are gentle ocean creatures preferring jellyfish snacks and an afternoon basking in the sun at the surface.
