Morph count has returned from the war! I thought I miscounted the morphs from this book and it took me several weeks (months) to circle back to double-check. But today I found myself on a long train ride with nothing better to do, so here you have it, the Definitely Accurate Book 14 Morph Count.
This book is silly! I love it. I think Marco should wield rattlesnake-Ax as a whip more often. Also there should be more dark rides.
I counted Ax’s human morph at 4 because he’s apparently present in the final scene in the barn, and he usually morphs human for that in this era. (Sometimes, educated guesses must be made in morph count.)

the way that book 14 was actually a really good concept, but executed so very poorly.
it did not deserve to be a main series book. all the stuff about jerboa needed it's own winglet to properly emphasize the horrible things that happened in better detail. snowfall and the ring was a great idea, I love a non sympathetic character being forced to see through other dragons' eyes, but it just felt out of place in arc 3.
I wish that a more prominent character would have the POV in book 14. snowfall is an okay character, but everything about her happening just kinda falls flat compared to all the other way more exciting stuff that's happening at the same time. The whole time I wanted to know what was happening on Pantala. I didn't want small glimpses, I wanted in depth stuff of what was happening. So maybe a character like Cinnabar or a split POV of the mind controlled Silkwings, or even Wasp herself would have been better.
