I've always loved the little jokes in Good Omens, but my favorite, by a long shot is Anathema's name. Two of the definitions of anathema is "a person cursed or excommunicated by and ecclesiastical authority" and "something someone vehemently dislikes". Her name literally means "something the church is REALLY going to hate and the rest of you won't be too thrilled either."
