Everyone is talking about Stratt's reaction to seeing Grace's reports about the events on the ship and meeting rocky and the astrophage problem etc but you know what's on my mind. Imagine Dr. Lamai (from the book, who designed the induced coma system) finding out that two out of three crew members died and believing it was her fault.

Eva Stratt loved the Earth so much she was willing to do anything to stay on it.

NOPE! You're thinking of Grace, who threatened to kill the entire human race, and every animal species if they sent him to space! Who forced Stratt to erase his memories, hopefully for long enough for him to complete the mission and be so attached that he would still send the solution to Earth!

Eva Stratt would have given anything to be the one to replace Ryland Grace's expertise on the mission with her own, she would have given her very life if it would save even one human being!

book Grace concept

apparently his glasses in the movie are actually expensive as hell. So no. You r getting normal stembofication looking brow line glasses like the rest of us. you know that image that's like all stem guys turn out looking the same? That's him.

I don't know why but I feel this imperative to keep him brown or black haired. I don't know how dark I want his hair to be but in my mind reading the book he wasn't blond. Sorry. I've been saying brunette this whole time but it should be brunet cause he's a guy ...whatev. my version of Grace probably looks really good wearing black clothes.

I like the style where the mustache merges with the mouth so he gets to be subject to that. Book Grace I don't think ever talks about his appearance I assume he feels neutral towards it. he has a normal level of care towards his beard. can you even call it a beard? I don't know how old he is but I think mid 30s because he went to grad school and everything before he was teaching and then he was in a spaceship for four years. they really sent his 29-year-old ass to space. guys he literally didn't live his life yet.

his burn reaches up to the left side of his neck. that's just something I saw somewhere

I kept things from Ryan Gosling. His long ass face and nose , his eyes being close together, his owl tufts of hair. I am close to calling them devil horns or fox ears or something

I also have the imperative to make him get a big bald spot on the back of his head when he's on erid

I have evil feelings towards book Grace.

ok so we all know about orpheus and eurydice, how the reason orpheus turns around is not because he doesnt love eurydice enough but because he loves her too much

so stratt and grace

dubois and shapiro frickity frackin explode and stratt turns around. she sees grace. she condemns him. not because she loves him, but because she loves the earth

grace wakes up alone on the hail mary, eventually figuring out all the stuff that went down with the mission. and he doesnt sabotage it. not because he respects the mission, or stratt, but because he loves the earth

both of them maintain aspects of orpheus and eurydice, grace leaving earth behind and stratt condemning grace. and this isnt even a ship thing unless you want it to be, but they are so intertwined theyre just a concept at this point
