The Name Of The Wind

The Hobbit/LOTR

Is this just high fantasy, or what is this *specific* setting? Not modern, everyone gets around on horses, they use words like "satchel", everything is often traded, different currencies, YOU CAN JUST OWN AN INN ON THE SIDE OF THE PATH/ROAD, taxes are collected by people at your doorstep, etc.

This is my favourite kind of setting, anyone have a Google-able name?

This one is more for people who have read the book of The Essex Serpent as this is author Sarah Perry's original sketch of Aldwinter village. Tom's characters parish.
