📚2/100 of #100daysofproductivity📚 Sunday 12th February 2017 - Today has been a busy day of research and set text reading for my narratives, identities and place course. I'm currently reading my love that is Virginia Woolf and the first book she published that set off her literary career called 'The Voyage Out.' Only read the Biography & Intro so far but know i'm going to love it already after reading Mrs Dalloway and it was one of my favourite reads of 2016. I love her stream of conciousness style and the clever ways she looks at topics such as identity, feminism and the 'inner frats of the mind.' Just want to read and analyse every text she's ever written! - Also, the best thing about analysing texts for uni is the annotating and using coloured highlighters. Chapter 1 & 2 Review

The first chapter of the book discusses the fundamentals of becoming a successful game designer within the Gaming industry. Tracy Fullerton emphasizes the importance of player experience and delivering enjoyable gameplay that challenges players. She also emphasizes the importance of playtesting as this method is not necessarily considered by game development teams which often leads to more time, money and headache for game development teams as Tracy Fullerton mentioned within chapter 1. Chapter 1 also discussed the process of becoming a better player by utilizing one’s experience and skills to create good gameplay.  

The second chapter of the book discusses the structure of games such as the rules, resources, procedures, and objectives that a player must follow to overcome the obstacles to feel a sense of accomplishment. She also discusses the importance of being able to successfully get players to connect emotionally based upon their experience with gameplay as this plays a significant factor for the player to keep on playing the game without getting bored of the gameplay.  She also places a significant importance on balancing the difficulty of the gameplay as we don’t players getting too frustrated or feel like they easily mastered the game which can drive them away from playing the game. The main takeaway from chapter 2 is to develop formal elements that create reasonable boundaries for players to follow to successfully overcome the
