I was tagged by the lovely @just-your-average-bookworm 11 questions, and then ask 11 people 11 questions! Thank you!
1. What are some of your favorite book friendships? Kaz with... everyone? They all contribute to wearing down his walls little by little, and I can appreciate that.
2. What genre do you read most? YA Fantasy and Romance (mostly new-adult).
3. What is your favorite TV show based of a book? Probably Sherlock. I know it’s more of a modern take on things, but the cinematography and acting is so good I could cry. Game of Thrones is amazing too, though I haven’t read the books (FOR SHAME, I know).
4. What is your least favorite book adaptation? (I’m going to get stabbed for this, but...) Shadowhunters is one of my least favorite adaptations. I mean the story deviations are so off-base it hurts. That, and Maximum Ride. Dear lord, that show is awful.
5. What is your comfort book? It depends on my mood, to be honest. If I’m in a YA mood, I’ll read Tithe by Holly Black. If I’m looking for some cheap satisfaction in Romance, I’ll read any book by Colleen Hoover.
6. Do you write? and if yes, what sort of stuff? (it counts as 1 :P) I write - not as much as I used to, but yes I do. Eh, I lean more toward YA Fantasy-ish. I wrote a few Romances too.
7. How do you organize your bookshelf? Series together, and hopefully the heights aren’t too drastically different (EXCEPT THEY ALWAYS ARE), so there’s a nice high to low balance.
8. Any books from your younger years that you still love to read? I’m about to go waaaaay back, but I always love reading The Velvetine Rabbit. I cry every time.
9. Any funny bookish stories? (Other than all of my embarrassing Scholastic Book Fair memories?) Well, recently I went to B&N and knocked several books over in front of an entire crowd of screaming school children. Go figure I’d be a total spaz during someone’s field trip.
10. Favorite classic? (if you have one?) Pride and Prejudice! For sure.
11. Would you rather read a book that makes you laugh, or cry? Both, if possible? I’m cheating a little. If it can make me do both, I’ll cherish it forever and pass it off on my friends until they hate me.
Answering some of your questions too because I’m greedy(?) so this is obviously past 11 questions but f it I’m gonna keep going ;p:
1. Favourite childhood book? Velvetine Rabbit and any “Kids Big Book of”. I apparently needed to know everything when I was a kid. Such a dick.
2. Bookish world you’d want to live in? Any world that involves/contains Faeries.
3. If you could hang out with one fictional character for one day, who would it be? Karou from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. She’s a bad ass and loves art, and her BFF Zuzana is close to my favorite character in any book, so it would be a package deal.
4. Top 3 books you’re looking forward to reading? *screeches* A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J Maas. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. And I still need to read Heartless by Marissa Meyer.
5. A book you regret reading? Hush, Hush. I know @just-your-average-bookworm loves it. I’M SORRY.
6. If you could make one thing (magic, object, etc. but not person) from a book appear in reality, what would it be? Ooooh, heartrending for sure. As soon as I read about it in Six of Crows, I was obsessed with the idea.
7. Top 3 authors? Sarah J Maas, Holly Black and Laini Taylor. (plus recently: Leigh Bardugo)
8. Do you consider yourself a fast reader? Eh, not really. I tend to immerse myself in a story until I don’t know which was is up. I can, however, amazingly sit for hours in one position while reading. RIP Bladder.
9. Have you met any authors?
10. What’s your “perfect” reading environment?
11. If you write, do you prefer to do it on paper or computer?
I tag: EVERYONE. So many people have been tagged already, so I don’t want to spam you all.
