Booklr Squad Drama

So I know nobody's heard of me and probably hasn't seen my blog and most likely won't see this, but I felt like this had to be put out there. Booklr squad or no booklr squad, we're all here to make friends and appreciate books together. Although I think an application is not a good way to find them, nobody should be mad at Estella for trying a new way to find friends. If you don't like the booklr squad, ignore it. If you do, then great. If you're feeling rejected, I'm here to talk, and so are a bunch of other awesome booklrs so let's just all let this go and make new friends =D

I know you're a sweetheart but not everyone is. tranceofreading pissed off a lot of people a while back when he said that homophobia is a-okay. *shrug* if you want positivity you got to give it. Know what I mean?

True. True. I didn’t even know that had happened until I saw the conversation on the booklr squad post between some people and bookdrunkinlove. (Homophobia is definitely not a-okay btw. Not in my book.) So I do think he hasn’t helped himself with calling the people trying to send some love to those who weren’t picked, but that doesn’t really mean we should send him hurtful things does it?

Okay, so I know you asked if mychemicalbooks got hate, and as far as I know she hasn't. But I think tranceofreading has judging from his last post on tumblr. Now i'm not popular, so I don't have a huge amount of followers to spread the word to, but could post this so maybe some people can send some positive asks his way, i'm a little worried for him

Sure thing Sunshine. I think the reason for that was because his responses to the sympathy for those who weren’t chosen was a little.. rude? I’ve read some of them, but that doesn’t exactly warrant hate. If you guys are up for it, send him some positives to offset the negatives he may be getting. More drama will cause another tear in the community of booklovers.

I have been otherwise preoccupied for most of the day and when I came back to tumblr I found mychemicalbooks has posted her squad and there was a large boom of hate. At least, that I’ve seen on my dash. I was not chosen and I was a little sad but I’ll get over it. It’s not that big of a deal. 

I agree with some of the points that people have made that I honestly didn’t think about when I applied and I’m not sure Estella thought about it because if you remember, when she was putting this together she was in the middle of preparing for her finals. There’s just one thing I want those who disagree to keep in mind: don’t start throwing shit everywhere. 

And by this I mean, if you didn’t get chosen or even just disagree please for the love of booklr do not send her hateful asks/fanmail or any of those who were chosen. 

I don’t care if you’re upset. The last thing we need is more drama when there’s already plenty of that around here. Voicing your opinion is one thing as long its about the network and not the people themselves. But If I ever hear especially from Estella that she’s getting hate asks and has to close her inbox, we’re going to have some problems.
