Oh my god I LOVE Silvia Moreno-Garcia's books, which one did you find? (and which is your fave?) - pascalispretty

If there's one thing I know about you, my darling soph, it's that you have TASTE!!!! SOOOO I found a signed copy of the Untamed Shore, which I think is getting a special re-release in the US this fall.

My fav is Mexican Gothic, but I also LOVED the Beautiful Ones. Mexican Gothic made it into my ideal bookshelf painting that I put together from Jane Mount! (It hangs in my office.) But I also can't wait for Silver Nitrate to drop this summer. What about you??

i made a new bookmark!!

painted it with coffee (i don’t really like coffee but the smell!!! is so!!! wonderful!!!) and put down some edgar allan poe

school’s starting in a week, i can now read sitting in a corner while sniffing at my bookmark :))))

it’s saturday, and i’ve been crying non stop because i love stories, i love my books, and i saw or thought something about it that made me burst in tears, and then i tried to stop myself from crying because it feels so wrong to cry over things like this, but i can feel it, i swear i can feel it, all of these stories, they are alive, they are inside me, they are out there and i’m going to build a good life for myself because i’ve been through so much and who gives a FUCK about what makes me cry so hard on a saturday afternoon, my god, i’m alive, i’m alive, and this world is full of beautiful stories and i belong to them, i’m a part of them. i can feel it in my bones the stillness and the peacefulness of just loving the things that people have created for ourselves.
