Happy #ShelfieSunday and #ShadowhunterSunday AND Book Lover’s Day!      Do you like romance in your reads?      I am one of those people that becomes bored easily when there is no romance 😂😭 I don’t know what it is, but it always makes a story so much more interesting and compelling for me. The first thing I want to know when I consider reading a book is if the romance is good or not. 🙈      It’s definitely one of the reasons why I LOVE The Infernal Devices so much. Would you rather fall in love with the villain or fall in love with the hero(ine)?    Let’s face it – I have a weakness for villains and I’d probably find myself in a disastrous and doomed romance with one. 😂    I’ve always wanted to read the Air Awakens series by @elise.kova. I’ve heard these books would be right up my alley ... elemental magic, dark princes, new adult, mentor/apprentice, slow burn ... all the things! I only own the first book but eventually I’d like to have a complete set. What is next on your TBR?    I am finally, finally, FINALLY going to be starting The Winternight Trilogy! 😍♥️ I have the audiobook of The Bear and the Nightingale on loan from the library and plan to start it next week sometime, after I finish a couple of the standalones I also have on loan.    This is one of those series I’ve felt terrible about not reading yet because everyone gushes over how great it is, plus I know – just from the little knowledge I have of what it’s about – that I’m going to love it. Happy #StackSaturday!     What are you reading this weekend?    I am listening to the audiobook of The Bear and the Nightingale! I love stories based upon Russian folklore and this is the perfect book to get swept up in and escape the heat of summer. The audiobook narrator is fantastic and I feel as though I am huddled around the hearth on a deep winter evening while the story is retold to me. Happy #StackSaturday!    If you could see any series recovered in a style like these, which would it be?    I’d love to see the Mistborn Era 1 and 2 books recovered! Any books on your shelves you feel bad about not reading yet?    I always have books on my shelves that I was SO excited to read ... yet they’re still unread, and I have no excuse and we don’t look at those books because then I feel guilty. 😂🙈    The #Wintersong duology is one of those for me. I have no excuse! @ae86chick always talks about how good these books are and how it’s one of her favorite stories. I am going to put it on my September TBR though! I’m excited for all the music and romance and Labyrinth-iness.    I even have this beautiful Goblin King candle from @burningbrightcandleco! Marissa creates the best candles. A new to you author?    I just got this copy of The Rage of Dragons by @evanmwinter in my latest order from @thecollectiveoakland! The first book in The Burning series, The Rage of Dragons is a high fantasy inspired by the Xhosa culture of South Africa.    I’ve seen a ton of people rave about this book, none more so than @literaryxqueen! ♥️ Her hype over this book is definitely one of the contributing factors to my purchase and my excitement to read it.
