I am 17 days behind on the jombpc challenge. I need to make my posts. I might spam with them tomorrow.
I might also be lazy and forget to do it.

Me: I really want to read, but boohoo reading slump
My brain: You can just pick up a book and start reading.
Me: I- what?
My brain: Pick a book, any book, and just start reading.
Me:
My brain:
Me: Wait, what?
Ugh. Last week I randomly decided, “You know what? I should buy a new book. I’ve deserved it lately!” I rarely do this, so this time I knew it was special.
Now my book has somehow been shipped to Oklahoma, which is literally on the opposite side of the country from where I am?? Like, I have no idea how they could’ve mixed it up SO badly, and now I’m just super irritated and I want my book.
do you know that feeling when you want to read so bad, but you can’t find a book to read
It's 2:04 AM
And I'm up reading. I'm nearly 200 pages away from finishing and I feel like I can do this before passing out from exhaustion. If I'm not reading I'm studying and if I'm not studying then I'm editing videos and if I'm not doing any of those I'm editing my chapters in my stories.
Thanksgiving trip packing
So I'm getting out of town for a bit for Thanksgiving and already planning what I will take. As in, what books and what knitting projects.
Books:
--All Clear by Connie Willis and The Fall of Kings by Ellen Kushner (depending on whether I will have finished All Clear or not by then)
--Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie (I have been good and let this be out for a bit before immediately rushing out to buy it
Knitting:
Now this is the one that is much harder to decide on because I'm deeply in the midst of Christmas knitting. I have the infinity scarf for brother's fiancé which would be great because I love working on it and it's good car knitting because it's cast on circular needles and a lace pattern so great for keeping me occupied just with knitting. I also have a hat to make for my mother. And handwarmers for fiancé. BUT I also have handmade for the homeless knitting (our deadline is December 10th) and I'm not sure I want to see my mom or brother's fiancé to see their knitted gifts before they are done (no way to hide fiancé's handwarmers from him in a one-bedroom apartment). So, below is my general game plan:
-- Fiance's handwarmers
-- Socks for handmade for the homeless (I'm one of the few who can make socks in the group)
This is of course all depending on me making serious headway on the infinity scarf before then. Hats I can knock out in a week so I'm not super concerned about the timing on that one.
What it is with authors and introducing a second POV in the last book of the series?
Like, if you wanted to do that, might as well start right away.
And as much as I love seeing something from the eyes of a different character, I still think it's weird, and it throws me off when it only happens in the last book.
Oh no! Both The 5th Wave and The Darkest Minds are up for Best YA Fantasy 2013 on Goodreads and I don't know which one to choose because they were both fantastic....
