I’ve been watching too much Sonic Boom out of context lately, so here’s the main roster ( except Canine, she um…intruded ) for my Sonic Boom Fankids AU.

Boom Shadow absolutely has “constantly inconvenienced by life” energy. The guy radiates the kind of frustration that comes from experiencing just enough daily annoyances to keep him perpetually on edge. And Boom Sonic? Oh, he knows.

Sonic absolutely takes full advantage of Shadow’s perpetual state of minor suffering. If Shadow stubs his toe? Sonic’s already laughing before Shadow can even swear. If Shadow’s coffee spills? Sonic’s there with a smug, “Tough break, buddy.” He absolutely exacerbates every single minor inconvenience, whether intentionally or not. He probably strategically places things just slightly out of reach or walks slower than Shadow behind him just to get under his skin.

Shadow wakes up every morning prepared to fight for his life because he knows—he knows—Sonic is going to do something to make his day just a little worse. And that’s why it’s always on sight.
