There wasn’t anywhere else for her to go now; Ash was all she had. It was strange to think that after all this time she finally had a father -- she could have been a bit more thrilled if he hadn’t been Ashy Slashy, but what could she do? -- but it was also nice. At least she wasn’t an orphan, right? Even if Ash was completely out of his depth.
This was nice though. The conversation.
“I think it would be a miracle if I didn’t have nightmares about her.” Watching her mother die had been bad enough, but it hadn’t been a particularly peaceful or kind death, either. It was what almost all her dreams were about.
“I don’t think you’ve mentioned a Cheryl.” Judging by the way he spoke, (and knowing the story behind the murders), Brandy knew this woman was dead as well. “Was she anything like you?”
