New Gear in the store. to Ground Control Audio Noodles. This has been selling out quicker than we can get them. It’s a 3 band EQ/Preamp/Boost. Each frequency band can be operated independently and has three specifically keyed frequencies to give you total control.
Mission Engineering is boutique pedal maker and i got myself a V boost pedal from Mission engineering. great pedal. before this I never thought that I need a boost in form of expression pedal... and it is needed indeed.. despite of consuming pedal board space, if you want simplicity of cranked amps plus a stylishly added 15dB gain, this pedal is the right thing.

A real original
I've been pretty blessed to have some folks that really take care of me with great musical gear. Whether it's Danny Ott fixing the latest broken guitar, Kevin Nelson fixing the latest broken amp and making me a custom amp, Henry Clift also fixing my amps and making me a custom amp to BearfootFX keeping me in amazing guitar pedals.
Today I got one of their Baby Pink Booster pedals in the mail. I've wanted one of these pedals since I learned they existed. Can't wait to plug it in.
New pedal coming!!!
Just wired up a boost circuit I've been dying to play with. I think I want to change a couple component values, but this things gonna be cool! Stay tuned for the PhBoost!
EHX LPB-1 mod (clarity and true-bypass)
A lot of people rave about the vintage LPB-1, but is this an accurate reissue? When I first plugged this in, the amount of high-end loss was almost unbearable, forcing it to stay off my board for good. Knowing that this pedal is just a simple boost with a low parts count, I knew there had to be some kind of mod out there to fix this problem. Here's a mod that makes this pedal actually true-bypass, and that keeps your signal nice and crisp without any high-end loss:

You can also change the LED to whichever color you prefer. You know, to make it more "personal" and to get rid of that boring red LED.
This mod wasn't really for the "beginner." There were a lot of tight spots to get into and the components were soldered to both sides of the PCB. Also, the conductor ribbon can easily be frayed, causing you to re-strip the entire thing and re-solder it, so be very careful!
