A grievance from this “snowflake millenial”.
Getting a job in today's economy should be as easy as sleeping with someone to get that same job. Oh wait, that's close to accurate, isn't it?
The only way many people will find the American dream is through wage slavery. The massas are the same people who recite "you need to pull yourself by the bootstraps", while they overlook their plantation (stocks) sippin their sweet tea and smoking their pipes.
We are all house niggas for these massas who think getting a job is very easy when they tell us that we are lazy, spoiled, entitled. That could not be further from the truth.
How can you expect any one to pull their bootstraps when those unfortunate people are currently walking the job market barefooted to apply for some boots? Seems to me no employer wants to give up those boots....because they want to cut the cost. The cost needed to GIVE potential applicants with the AMBITION to APPLY for those boots. How in the hell you gonna tell me to get experience by not giving a person a chance to get it? #theAmericanDreamisBullshit.
You see, friends? Anyone can become financially set-for-life like Kyle if you just take a few simple tips from him: -make sure your first job Senior Project Manager at your father’s hedge fund. Put 25% of your $250,000 salary into a savings account. I know that it’ll be hard getting by on just $187,500 a year, but if Kyle could do it, anyone can! -Why waste money paying for housing? Just live for free in your grandparents’ vacant vacation home. In Monterey. For a few years. -Getting a mortgage to buy a house is a classic mistake. Instead, just get your uncle to give you $500,000! -Be sure to really tighten your belt. That means no vacations to Italy or Japan! You’ll have to stick to vacationing in your own country instead! “Managing your spending is difficult, but if I can do it, anyone can!” THANKS KYLE!!!
The biggest lies of the Horatio Alger myth
The biggest lies of the Horatio Alger myth: a look at the book that started it all
Let’s get something out of the way before we begin: the title of the book we are about to consider, Ragged Dick, is simultaneously hilarious and unintentionally obscene.
Let’s share a hearty laugh now, for it’s the last laugh we’re gonna have as we plunge into Horatio Alger’s 1868 bootstrapping propaganda piece.
Ragged Dick, as the name suggests, is one of author Alger’s raggediest…
