This handy little item is known as a bootjack, c. 1930. It’s mostly vanished from modern use, even though people still wear boots. The item helps to remove a boot by inserting the back of the foot into the groove, and then stepping down on the slanted platform while you pull the boot off the foot.
Such a blast jamming with @regnier_hill and @michaelaaron_jas for @thebootjack the other night! Can’t wait for you to see it! ❤️ #acoustic #guitar #westernwear #boots #luchesseboots #ariatboots #tonylama #country #americana #pop #vintage #bootjack #texas #nashville #indieartist #radio #RGV (at The Boot Jack)

I went to some historic houses last week.
I found a wide range of Little Guys! Granted, one of the little guys was a halberd. But a friendly and polite one I'm sure!
Another was an adorable weird little blue beetle guy, who i THINK might be to help people take their boots off? The duck somehow sneaked in to a table that was MOSTLY replica food. Also featuring one of the BEST lions I have seen. Oh my word he's trying his best. Not happy with having a knight's feet resting on him for eternity. I do love an incredibly awkward stone lion. The wyvern and lion that flanked the door were kind of endearing too.
Nice enough visits!
Removing mud caked boots at the end of working day can be a real pain. Now try doing it 5-10 times a day! Normally, this will involve a fine balancing act, a long stick, a muddy pair of socks, some swearing and a packet of wet wipes. However, if you would rather not go through all this rigmarole, we suggest buying one of our "Boot-Butlers". The Boot Butler allows you to remove muddy boots and shoes with minimal fuss and mess. Please visit our website for further details including how to use the Boot Butler or to make a purchase. The Boot Butler is built tough and built to last.
