hi, i have a question and idk if you’d know this but google wasn’t much help, so i’m trying my best here. but if i were to record a boot, how would i get the files to vob? is there a way to get them off of my camera and convert them to vob files? and then, how would i create smalls for them?
I’m not entirely familiar with the whole VOB + smalls creation system, but one thing I can say most people will prefer: don’t!
Take it from the person who has seen Blu-Ray and 4K MP4 bootlegs, people will want the original files, no doubt. VOB + smalls is an outdated but popular format that still lives mostly for people who store recordings on DVD and ward off youtube rips.
What would you pick? 1080p (or whatever the quality it was recorded in) of the *original files*, or 480p of the VOB (no exceptions when it comes to VOB).
As long as you genuinely have a original bootleg recording, you’ll definitely want that thing up on Mega and sent as the original format if you want it to be a successful recording.
Sometimes larger files can be a problem, so feel free to use hjsplit and cut that file down to files small enough to upload as you need.
