The reason why pro open borders people lock doors to their homes, instead of letting anyone who wants to enter in, is because unvetted strangers would cost them money and put them at risk of being killed or hurt.

When they let in illegal aliens to the country, the overwhelming majority of the cost burden falls on other people. Likewise, it is almost guaranteed that the risk of being killed or injured by unvetted aliens will be borne by someone else.

Back in the day, when an aristocrat found a foreigner amusing, he would also place the burden of labor and the risks of hosting them on his peasants. Don’t mistake that for generosity.
