Dog Hob and Dog Dream with Lucienne
💛
Borkesus gets adopted by Hob Galding who was an army man who has PTSD and had lost his wife and child. At first Borkesus didn't want anything to do with him at first until he heard Hob having a horrific nightmare and he immediately went into giving him cuddles.
Oh this is very sweet!!!!!
Borkeus doesn't consider himself a pet. Or a therapy dog. Or anything like that. Frankly he's had enough of being passed around, abandoned, exploited and hurt. His new "owner" is a quiet but smiley man who uses a cane to walk. Although Borkeus has had bad experiences with canes before, he can immediately sense that this man wouldn't ever hurt him. He just smells harmless. So he allows himself to be taken home. That first night Hob talks to him quietly and shows him his brand new bed and feeding bowls. He also says that Borkeus is welcome to cuddle up in his big human size bed. But Borkeus doesn't want that. He just wants to be left alone.
He's a very good dog - he walks nicely on the lead, doesn't mess in the house and never barks. Hob occasionally tries to pet him and Borkeus allows it but only briefly. He tends to shy away and hide behind the sofa after a while.
Then Hob has a horrible nightmare, one of his worst ever. He can't get his bearings afterwards even though he tries to ground himself with his therapy techniques. It's not until a cold, damp nose presses against his cheek that he finally orients himself in his bedroom, with Borkeus whining softly and licking his hand.
After that, they're inseparable. Borkeus sleeps on top of Hob like a weighted blanket. And Hob is still very careful about petting him only as much as he feels comfortable with. Both of them are prone to sensory overload and many days are spent indoors, under blankets, with Hob wearing headphones and Borkeus burying his nose in Hob’s armpit. It's a perfect match.
Borkeus never thought he'd have a best friend, but now he has one, he's never giving Hob up, ever.
This is going to seem weird, but ever sense i came across your Borzoi Borkeus fan art, I just want to see Borkeus as the little Russian lady Vine in your style
I hear you, my people

Just some good boys 🐾
More doggy Dream please 🥺
But of course! ✨
Borkeus lets people pet him whenever he can sense anxiety and Hob gets an emotional support vest for Dream so that people can pet him.
🥺🥺 yes I agree
Do you have an au where Morpheus has a dog form?
🐾
I think @twottie-m8 originated “borkeus”, if memory serves me right…
