Another one regarding the portrayal of women in the RPC is that so many people think "30+" is old (like that one post that's like REBLOG IF YOUR FEMALE MUSE IS 30+ like it's some kind of accomplishment to write a young adult lol).

I promise, the rpc does not need more 20 somethings who either haven't figured their life out yet and are a chaotic mess OR 20 somethings that have somehow figured out all of life's mysteries and are op as fuck.

Older people have lived experiences. Older people can DO more things logistically speaking that younger folks often can't. Older people are still just as sexy if not more so in some regards (hello emotional stability!), and are just as capable of being interesting as younger people.

(And by older I'm meaning like bare minimum 45-50).

As someone who is turning the big 3-0 within the next 3 months, my life's just getting started and more people should acknowledge that sort of thing with their characters.

rpc hot takes

1. don't get me wrong, i completely understand that my shipping partners have ships with other people. i also have multiple shipping partners. but i always put in a lot of effort to make sure all my plots with others (shippy or not) are unique and well-developed, so it kinda hurts my feelings when i feel like my ship is interchangeable with any other? like one time i tagged someone on a ship musings thing and they reblogged it and tagged other people lmao so it's like. ok so the dynamic and plot we've been developing for all this time is pretty much the same as you've got with anybody else. great to know.

2. i'm a bring reblog karma back girlie. it's not a rule imo, do whatever you want, but i do think that reblogging a meme from someone (or what everyone's been doing these days, which is to reblog from the source 5 seconds after someone else did so it's obvious you got it from them) without sending anything is kind of a shitty thing to do, specially if it's like a headcanon meme where you just gotta send a number or a symbol (ofc i'm not talking about like memes that require prior interaction or an established relationship between the muses).

i guess when you're very popular and you get a bunch of stuff in your inbox every time you reblog something it's easy to talk about how you don't care if someone reblogs it without sending anything in; it's not like you ever don't get stuff at all. for the rest of us, specially ocs who already don't get the same kind of attention other muses would, it can be very unmotivating.
