Welcome back!
Kawaki and Amado
When I first saw this, I thought that Amado actually cared about Kawaki ‘cause he was worried, but then I thought a little harder and came to the conclusion that he might have simply reacted that way ‘cause Kawaki not being okay might’ve meant that Isshiki succeeded in planting a new karma. But-
After seeing this scene, I felt like he might care for real. Maybe he feels guilty for everything that happened to Kawaki and wants to make it up to him? Sumire seems to be thinking along the same lines as I, for that’s not the first time she watches those two:
So yeah, I think he actually cares about Kawaki. I hope we see more interaction between them in the future and that we’ll see what they really think of each other. I mean, it doesn’t seem like Kawaki hates Amado the way he hates the rest of the Kara, since he’s not trying to kill the guy, isn’t throwing any insults and actually listens to him. Maybe Amado treated the kid a lot better than the others did.
Last month I said I wanted Code’s backstory, and now we already get a glimpse of it? I approve!
...But really, now I can’t help but wonder just why is he so loyal to Isshiki? Did he also buy Code the way he bought Kawaki? Was his family just as bad or even worse? Did Jigen/isshiki treat him so well compared to wherever he was first that it caused his loyalty? Seriously, what’s driving this guy forward?
