drie jaar geleden suggereerde je dat ik je moest overtuigen van hoe wij een goede match konden zijn, hoe wij bij elkaar pasten, hoe wij bij elkaar hoorden. het verleden en de toekomst heeft ons geleerd dat ik helemaal niks hoef te doen. dat wij helemaal niks hoeven te doen. we overtuigen onszelf wel van de kracht van de ander.

een half jaar geleden zei je dat je geen gedoe wilde veroorzaken. je hebt gigantisch gefaald. je had beter moeten weten dan me vertellen dat je opnieuw verliefd op me bent. ik had beter moeten weten dan je laten vertellen dat je opnieuw verliefd op me bent. ik kan geen vrienden met je zijn. het is onmogelijk. ik kan niet in je ogen kijken en me niet afvragen hoe het zou zijn om het eerste en laatste te zijn wat je elke dag ziet. 

maar ooit wordt het tijd om je los te laten. ben er helemaal klaar mee. ik wil me helemaal niet zo voelen. wederom ben ik een domme trut en hopelijk leer ik dit keer wel van mijn fouten.

ooit bereik ik het punt waarop het me niks meer kan schelen wat je uitvoert. het boeit me geen kut aan wie je je verhalen opdraagt, wiens onzekerheden je nu weer blootlegt, wiens hand je vastpakt tijdens het slapen. 

voor iemand die zo nuchter is, veroorzaak je een hoop drama.
