Zolu/Luzo in Boss Luffy TV Special
I feel like this scene isn't talk about much. Although this episode isn't canon, I love how it highlights Luffy and Zoro's dynamic and their unspoken understanding.
Here, Zoro was working under Buggy to capture Vivi. At first, Luffy questions Zoro's intention. For context, Luffy and Zoro donβt know each other very well at this point, but Luffy instinctively knows Zoro isnβt a bad guyβespecially since Zoro had already protected Vivi earlier.
When Luffy realized Zoro's tactics, he made this huge ass grin and play along with him (Working together to beat Buggy's crew). I love how they can easily read each other despite not knowing each other. The amount of trust and telepathic understanding between these two transcends beyond canon-verse.
Their relationship is so beautiful. It's so warm and wholesome.
Luffy looks so proud <3
In summary,
Luffy (who barely knows Zoro) never doubted him being a good guy and
Zoro (who also barely knows Luffy) trusted him to quickly understand his intention and go along with it.
