that is so kind of you guys to say :”) I probably have a few analyses left in me before I go dormant for a while, and plenty more podcasts - @hermouthslipped and I are planning to break our analysis of the finale into several parts across several podcast episodes and really take our time with it bc we can afford to, as the season’s over - and there’s lots of other stuff to discuss besides and a whole year to wait for more. we’ll spend it as best we can.

@bostoneris Yeah, in interviews and stuff they said his body functions like a normal human except for the immortality, sun, and blood drinking thing so I like to assume he just drank himself to death and the scene was meant to show how bad his drinking is and how upset he really is about hearing Denis is dying. I haven't read the comics but I asked people about them and looked stuff up online and no he doesn't turn anyone in the comics either. In a lot of interviews Joe has mentioned how much Cassidy feels that living forever is HORRIBLE and that he wouldn't wish it on anyone and I totally get that vibe about Cassidy so that's why I know he won't turn Denis. And yeah because he's killed all his victims I assume he doesn't quite know the logistics of how he would even go about turning someone in the first place and I think it likely that if he ever DID try and turn someone there would be a few failed attempts as he figured it out. (I mostly want to know for fanfic purposes LOL like if he bit someone playfully but still broke skin like would THAT count or is there more of a process to it? LOL) Also, sorry for the pic replies, I'm on mobile.

Because Dennis has those possessive feelings for Dee and may very well kill Charlie if he ever found out Dee slept with him last season

That’s definitely part of it! Dennis says in The Gang Broke Dee “controlling the situation, and her, as I always have and always will.” He really wouldn’t handle finding out well at all. I can imagine he’d be upset in many, many ways.

later addition: Look at Hero or Hate Crime. It’s Frank->Dee->Dennis->Charlie->Mac. When Dennis leaves to get the bike, Charlie moves one over and is siting next to Dee, with an empty chair between Charlie and Mac. After Dennis gets back, instead of sitting in the empty spot, he makes Charlie move back. I know there’s lots of possibilities for this but I wonder if he wants them apart.

I think that’s maybe PART of it, but not all of it. I go into my predictions for next episode based on the trailers here, but I will add onto what I said there by saying that I think besides Tulip being possibly irritated/angry with Jesse and feeling alienated from him for the reasons I discussed in that post, I think she also did something there that Cassidy clearly wasn’t expecting. Whatever the reason for the kiss, it isn’t necessary to pull off the scheme here. It could be to make Jesse jealous, but somehow I doubt the rationale is that simple - that’s maybe a part of it, but I think something else is going on here maybe - and also tulip does not like jealous jesse, nor does she want to endanger cassidy by making jesse jealous - she did everything in her power to avoid what happened with viktor. tulip seems to be struggling to get jesse to get her the emotional attention she needs after her psychic brush with death last episode, and jesse doesn’t seem to be giving her that based on the trailer - he’s much too caught up in his mission and his own missing soul portion probably. but who has consistently been checking in with her emotionally all season? cassidy. and in that scene he clearly wasn’t expecting a kiss like THAT. the kiss may have been planned, but getting that deeply into it wasn’t planned based on his expression afterwards, and from a practical perspective, it certainly wasn’t needed to pull off whatever con/scheme they’re trying to pull. it’s also worth noting that ruth said that tulip fills much more NEEDED by cassidy than by jesse, so that may somehow be coming into play here emotionally too.

I think something happened when the saint touched her and now something changed with her feelings towards Jessie maybe idk

see the discussion above and the linked post in it - I don’t think it changed her feelings for Jesse, but it certainly caused her some deep emotional issues that Jesse isn’t helping her deal with.
