Crown Mines, Crown Engine Houses & The Count House at Bottalack Mine, Cornwall.
If you love adventuring, this is the place for you. You could spend hours exploring all of the old ruined buildings as the site is quite vast. Bring a doggo for 2x the fun. The views are phenomenal so snap dem pics, and Be careful not to fall down a mine shaft. the -TommyC
Bottalack mine has most recently become well known for its starting role in Poldark. However the view of the Engine Houses precariously perched on the cliff edge form probably the most iconic and well recognised of the Cornish Landscapes. The remains of the mine buildings and shafts here coupled with the on site museum give you an insight into the mine's working history - RoxyB.
Side note: It gets very slippery the further up and out you venture. Wear sensible shoes and take extra care when exploring this area. There is a lovely little tea shop on site, the tea shop doubles up as a museum with a short film you can watch about the mines and posters with information about the working life of the mine.
